Impact

Across the 23 languages of the Truth for Today effort, the work continues to move forward with quiet faithfulness.

In India, materials continue to be printed and distributed in Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and others, reaching preachers, teachers, and churches with solid Bible study resources. Courses such as Ephesians and Philippians (and many others) are available in Mandarin, Hindi, Punjabi, Ukrainian, and additional languages on ThroughTheScriptures.com, so students can study in their heart language. Translating and printing work also continues through partners in Ukraine and other regions.

Each new course that goes live and each volume that is printed in-country represents another opportunity for someone to open the Scriptures with clarity and confidence. The mission remains the same: making disciples by teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded.

MidWeek Peak

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4, NASB).

Paul wrote those words from a prison cell. His circumstances were difficult, his future uncertain, yet his joy was not rooted in comfort or success. It was rooted in the Lord Himself.
Midweek often brings its own quiet pressures—unfinished tasks, relational strains, the simple weariness of ordinary days. The commentary on Philippians reminds us that Christian joy is not the absence of trouble; it is the presence of Christ in the middle of it. When we fix our eyes on Him, gratitude and peace have room to grow even when the week feels heavy.

Take a quiet moment today to name one way the Lord has been near this week.

Resource Spotlight

This week we’re spotlighting the Truth for Today Commentary: Ephesians and Philippians (by Jay Lockhart and David L. Roper).

These two prison letters call us to live strong in the battle against worldliness and to stay united as members of the body of Christ and citizens of heaven. Ephesians opens our eyes to every spiritual blessing we already have in Christ; Philippians shows us how to walk that blessing out with joy, humility, and gospel partnership.

Weekend Challenge

Weekend reflection from Ephesians 6:10–18 and the surrounding commentary.

Paul closes the letter with a clear call: “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God…” The commentary unpacks each piece—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word, and prayer—not as abstract ideas but as daily equipment for people who live in the real world.

This weekend, sit with the passage and these questions:
1. Which piece of the armor feels strongest in your life right now, and which one needs attention?
2. Where are you most tempted to rely on your own strength instead of “the strength of His might”?
3. Who in your life could you encourage this weekend simply by reminding them that the armor is already supplied in Christ?

Take your time. Let the Word equip you before Monday arrives.

Ukrainian resources remain live at wordforukraine.com and wordforukraine.com.ua, and Chinese material is accessible at wordforchina.com. ThroughTheScriptures.com itself now carries courses in 23 languages, so more people can study the same careful commentaries in their heart language.

MidWeek Peak

Midweek reminder from the heart of Ephesians: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” (Eph. 1:3).

We don’t chase blessings; we already possess them. Adoption, redemption, forgiveness, inheritance, the sealing of the Spirit—these are not future hopes only. They are present realities that steady us when the week feels long. The commentary walks carefully through these riches so we don’t miss them in the rush.

Take a quiet moment today to name one blessing that is already yours in Christ. Then live from it instead of striving for it.

Thought of the Day

A fresh week is a gift. You don’t have to carry yesterday’s unfinished tasks or tomorrow’s unknowns into this new Monday. Hebrews reminds us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). His mercy is new this morning, and His presence is already with you for whatever this day holds.

Start simply: thank Him for one specific way He has been faithful, then ask Him to lead you in the next right step. He is already at work.

Have a strong, steady start to the week.

Weekend Challenge

Scripture: “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith…” (Hebrews 12:1–2a, ESV)

The Christian life is often pictured as a race that requires endurance. The writer of Hebrews has spent the preceding chapters showing why Jesus is worth following all the way to the finish line. Now he turns to us and says, in effect, “Keep running. Keep looking to Him.”

Notice two practical invitations. First, lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely. Not every hindrance is a dramatic sin; sometimes it is simply the unnecessary weight of distraction, unforgiveness, or misplaced priorities that slows our pace. Second, fix our eyes on Jesus. Endurance grows when our gaze is set on the One who already finished the race and is seated at the right hand of God.

This weekend, consider the race set before you. It may include faithfulness in a difficult family situation, consistent service in a small congregation, or simply the daily choice to trust God when answers feel slow.

Reflection questions:
1. What weight or “clinging” habit is the Holy Spirit inviting you to lay aside so you can run more freely?

2. Where do you most need to “look to Jesus” this weekend—perhaps in a specific decision, relationship, or worry?

3. How has the cloud of witnesses (past or present believers) encouraged you to keep going when you wanted to quit?

Take time with these questions. Let the text shape your prayers and your steps.

Impact

We’re grateful for continued progress in making solid Bible teaching available in native languages around the world.

Recent work has included expanded resources for Indian languages such as Hindi, Punjabi, Telugu, Marathi, and Kannada, along with Nepali materials. Printed Life of Christ volumes continue to be prepared and distributed in-country, and additional courses are going live on ThroughTheScriptures.com in these languages. Ukrainian and Mandarin (Chinese) courses and online Life of Christ resources are also helping preachers and students dig deeper into Scripture.

Each new language or newly printed set means another preacher, teacher, or student can study with greater clarity and confidence. These are the quiet advances that equip the church for the long work of teaching and reaching.
