If only these walls could talk…

As many of you know, the Rock House has been our hub for the College Ministry for a while now. Every day, the Rock House has been filled by students praying, discussing Scripture, studying for tests, meeting with disciple making groups, and/or laughing—there has been A LOT of laughing together. There has also been a lot of maturing in Christ together.

However, as plenty of you also know, the building has been struggling for a while now. This spring, our elders decided to move forward with building plans for a NEW Rock House! We are very excited about the plans and possibilities for what this will entail.

At the same time, we have such special memories in the old Rock House and can’t help but feel some sadness to say goodbye. As a tribute, let’s each take 20 seconds to comment a favorite memory or two from the Rock House so we can have a digital scrapbook to all look back on together!

P.S. Stay tuned throughout the summer for some updates👀

Last Student Member Spotlight of the school year — we love Brodie!!

My name is Brodie Windell. I am a junior Sports Analytics and Theological Studies major from East Peoria, Illinois. I love hanging out with my fiancé and friends, playing pickleball, and just being outside. I’m getting married this summer, and after graduation next year, my wife and I will move to wherever I can find a job in sports analytics, working for a college or professional baseball, football, or basketball team. I also hope to get plugged into a church and serve to the best of my ability. My favorite memory from the College Ministry is the mission trip last spring to Southeast Florida, where we served the congregation there. I’ve also enjoyed all the opportunities to meet so many people of all ages here at College Church. My time at Harding and College Church has really been a blessing to me—and I’m glad it’s not quite over yet.

Yesterday was a really powerful and meaningful day as we celebrated over 60 graduating seniors, praying over them as they are sent into the next stage of their journey. We pray that God will bless each of you, and that you will be lifelong disciples and disciple makers. We love you!

Disciple Making Group Spotlight!
Milicent, Milka, Zoe, & Elyse have been meeting since the beginning of the Fall semester. Highlights from their time together include Milka’s baptism, sharing testimonies, game days, and practicing evangelism together! This 2nd generation disciplemaking group plans to continue meeting into the fall and potentially multiply within the next year!

If you are interested in starting a disciple making group, we’d love to train you! Dm us or contact one of these disciple makers!

We love that our college students don’t just come to be served, but to serve the church themselves! One way our students do that is by regularly teaching and helping in children’s classes. Right now, over 15 students are part of serving in this way.

We want to be helping raise up disciples of every generation! If you would like to jump in and serve in this way, DM us!

Disciple Making Groups Retreat
This weekend we enjoyed an incredible time of encouragement, prayer, worship, and discussion at our annual retreat! About 30 different groups were represented from the Harding community! Focusing on the parable of the Sower in Luke 8 and Psalm 71, we learned the 3 ingredients of good soil:
1. Clinging to the Word of God
2. A sincere heart
3. Patience
Would you join us in praying that God would continue to foster these qualities in His people!

“As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.” - Luke‬ ‭8‬:‭15‬
