In May 2007, Minister Pitts was ordained by Elder Peter Davis and Bishop Joseph Dickens of Bridgeport, Connecticut to Elder Thornton G. Pitts. On August 12, 2023, Elder Pitts was Installed as Bishop Thornton G. Pitts by Bishop Willie Mac Bell of Plymouth, North Carolina. Bishop T.G. Pitts, MTS, attended

the Christian World College of Theology in Salisbury, Maryland where he received his Associates, Bachelors’ degree, and Master's Degree in Theology (MTS). Pitts is a nationally licensed substance abuse counselor.
