Sisters of IHM

Sisters of IHM A community of Catholic women religious dedicated to God and service to God's people. Together we form a loving partnership in all our apostolic works.

Ministries
The Congregation is present in the works of its individual members wherever we render service. This partnership is expressed in our varied apostolates: education, health care, social service, pastoral and spiritual ministries. All our ministries are works for justice and peace; they receive and give life in relationship to the depth of our spiritual union with Jesus and our partici

pation in his mission. The IHM Sisters have a strong presence in 9 states, the District of Columbia and internationally in Mexico and Peru. Our sisters share the unconditional love of God in all our places of ministry. Our sponsored ministries in Scranton, Pennsylvania, include Saint Joseph’s Center, Marywood University, Friends of the Poor, and Our Lady of Grace Montessori School and Spiritual Center in Manhasset, NY. The IHM Congregation seeks ways to collaborate with others in a way that meets the needs of the poor, spiritually neglected, sick, uneducated and abandoned by co-sponsoring in the following ministries: Mother Seton Academy in Baltimore, MD; the African Sisters Education Collaborative (ASEC) and the Nativity Miguel School of Scranton. We invite others to join us as we strive to deepen our spiritual lives, our understanding of God's love in our lives, and our desire to serve others especially the marginalized and the oppressed.
