FBCScottsdale Offering a Seat at God's Table for an Adventurous Life with Christ!

06/22/2026

In a world that pushes us to be seen, John the Baptist showed a different way. His mission was not to build his own platform but to prepare the way for Jesus. True greatness is found in pointing people to Christ, not ourselves. When we let go of the need for recognition and make room for Jesus to increase, hearts can be transformed. A life surrendered to His purpose will always have lasting impact.

“He must become greater; I must become less.” — John 3:30 (NIV)

The greatest gift of the gospel is not simply forgiveness. It's a relationship with God. Through the Holy Spirit, God is with us every moment of every day, guiding, comforting, and transforming us. Yet it is easy to become distracted by responsibilities, routines, and even good things. Take a moment to ask yourself: Is anything pulling your attention away from what matters most? Let’s not take for granted the incredible privilege of walking closely with God every day.

“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” — Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)

Jesus didn't save us merely from something. He saved us for something!

Through His death and resurrection, we're restored to a relationship with God and invited into a life with Him. Yet it's easy to let daily responsibilities, worries, and distractions crowd out what matters most. The foundation of our faith isn't simply what Jesus did for us but the relationship He made possible. Stay connected to the One who gives life its true purpose.

“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” — John 17:3 (NIV)

What an incredible week at IMAGINE Creative Arts Camp!

From music and dance to science, cooking, art, drama, and Bible lessons, our campus was filled with creativity, laughter, and learning. This year, 96 students were encouraged, challenged, and reminded of God’s love through every activity.

A huge thank you to our 60 amazing volunteers who made this unforgettable week possible. We are grateful for all God did at camp and excited to see how He continues to work in these young lives!

One encounter with Jesus can change everything. Philip was an ordinary man who heard Jesus say, “Follow me,” and immediately responded. But he did not keep that experience to himself. He went and found Nathanael, inviting him to meet Jesus too. That is the nature of God’s love. Once we experience it, we want others to know it as well. A simple invitation, a conversation, or a testimony can become the spark that points someone toward Christ.

“Come and see,” said Philip. — John 1:46 (NIV)

John the Baptist was asked to explain who he was, but he refused to make himself the focus. Instead, he pointed people to Jesus. John described himself as a voice in the wilderness, preparing the way for the One who was already among them. His humility reminds us that our purpose is not to draw attention to ourselves but to lead others to Christ. The greatest impact we can make is helping people see and know Jesus.

“I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’” — John 1:23 (NIV)
