Mt. Pleasant Community Church, Scio, OR The single story structure, built in 1854, is one of the earliest examples of pioneer community effort to be found in this part of Oregon.

It was built on school land donated by Washington Crabtree and deeded for church purposes in 1877. Doctrine of our nondenominational faith: Our foundational belief is Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son and earthly incarnation of God; He was crucified, died, resurrected, and will come again. The Bible is the word of God and that it is perfect as it is, without any need for addition or explication.

This Sunday is our weekly service - where Pastor Shawn will wrap up our discussion about the faithfulness of God seen in Joshua 24: 2-15 and what it looks like in today's times to 'Walk in Obedience', as Joshua did, by examining the Gospel connection found in the New Testament.

This Sunday will also be our monthly Communion Service, followed by the First Sunday Potluck at nearby Mt. Pleasant School.
