Revelation 1:7 (NKJV)

“Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.”

At the opening of Revelation, John the Apostle declares the visible and certain return of Jesus Christ. His coming will not be hidden — every eye will see Him.

This moment will reveal hearts. For some, it brings mourning; for others, hope fulfilled. The same Jesus who came in humility will return in glory. The promise calls us to live ready, with our lives anchored in Him.

History is moving toward this moment.

“Soon there appears in the east a small black cloud… It is the cloud which surrounds the Saviour.”
The Great Controversy, p. 640

🙏 Prayer
Lord, help me to live with Your coming in view. Prepare my heart, and keep me faithful as I wait for the day I will see You. Amen.

1 John 1:9 (NKJV)

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

The apostle John points to a simple yet powerful promise — forgiveness is available to the honest heart. Confession is not about informing God, but agreeing with Him and opening our lives to His grace.

God’s response is certain: He is faithful to forgive and just to cleanse. Through Jesus Christ, forgiveness is complete, and cleansing reaches deeper than our failures.

Grace meets us the moment we come honestly.

“As you draw near to Him with confession and repentance, He will draw near to you with mercy and forgiveness.”

Steps to Christ, p. 55

🙏 Prayer
Lord, I come to You honestly with my sins. Thank You for Your mercy and for receiving me as I am. Cleanse my heart and help me walk in Your grace today. Amen.

Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

The apostle Paul reveals a love that does not wait for worthiness. Jesus Christ gave Himself not after we changed, but while we were still in need.

God’s love is not earned or measured by our goodness. It is demonstrated at the cross. This kind of love reaches us where we are and begins the work of transforming us.

The cross is proof that we are loved before we ever respond.

“Christ was the medium through which He could pour out His infinite love upon a fallen world.”
Steps to Christ, p. 13

🙏 Prayer
Lord, thank You for loving me even at my worst. Help me to receive that love fully and let it change how I live and love others. Amen.

Revelation 22:14 (NKJV)

“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.”

At the close of Scripture, Jesus Christ gives a picture of those who belong to Him — not merely in profession, but in a life shaped by obedience.

Obedience is not the way we earn salvation, but the evidence of a heart transformed by grace. Those who follow God’s ways are walking toward life — toward the restored access to the tree of life and fellowship with Him.

The promise is both present and future: a life aligned with God now, and a home with Him forever.

“Obedience is the fruit of faith.”
Steps to Christ p. 61

Prayer
Lord, write Your commandments on my heart. Help me to follow You not out of duty alone, but out of love, and lead me in the path that ends in life. Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

This may be the most breathtaking exchange in all of Scripture. Jesus, who never sinned — not once, not even in thought — took upon Himself the full weight of our sin. And in return, He offers us His perfect righteousness.
We bring nothing to this transaction but our need. He brings everything.
This is not just forgiveness — it is transformation. God no longer sees our record. He sees His Son’s.

“Christ was treated as we deserve, that we might be treated as He deserves. He was condemned for our sins, in which He had no share, that we might be justified by His righteousness, in which we had no share.”
— The Desire of Ages, p. 25

Prayer
Father, I cannot fully comprehend what it cost You — but I receive it with a grateful heart. Thank You for the great exchange: my sin for Your righteousness. Let that truth silence every voice of condemnation and fill me with the confidence of someone truly, completely loved. Amen.

John 14:3 (NKJV)

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

With these words, Jesus Christ gives one of the clearest promises of His return. His departure was not an ending, but a preparation — both of a place and a future reunion.

The heart of the promise is relationship: “receive you to Myself.” Heaven is not only a destination, but being with Christ. The certainty of His return gives hope in waiting and purpose in the present.

He will come, and He will gather His own.

“The Lord is coming. We hear the footsteps of an approaching God.”
(Maranatha, p. 220)

Prayer
Lord, thank You for the promise that You will come again. Help me to live with hope and readiness, longing to be with You. Amen.

Numbers 6:24–26 (NKJV)
“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.”

The Hebrew word for "keep" is shamar (שָׁמַר). It is a military and agricultural term meaning "to hedge about with thorns." It paints the picture of a shepherd building a protective wall of thorny briers around the sheep at night to keep predators out. God’s "keeping" isn't just a passive observation; it is a proactive, protective boundary.

This blessing follows a beautiful progression. It begins with the general (Bless and Keep), moves to the personal (His face shining/Grace), and ends with the ultimate internal state (Peace).

When God's face "shines," it means the darkness of shame and confusion must flee. This isn't a blessing we earn; it is a blessing we receive. The final word, Shalom (Peace), is more than just the absence of noise; it is the presence of wholeness. It is the quiet confidence that comes from knowing the Creator of the stars is smiling at you.

Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your blessing and care over my life. Let Your face shine upon me today, fill me with Your grace, and give me Your peace in all I do. Amen.

Luke 21:28 (NKJV)

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

While speaking about the signs before His return, Jesus Christ did not tell His followers to live in fear, but in hope. The events of the world may seem unsettling, yet for believers they are reminders that God’s promises are moving toward fulfillment.

Instead of discouragement, Christ calls His people to lift their eyes. The same Savior who came once in humility will come again in glory. Each sign is a quiet assurance that the story of redemption is nearing its completion.

Hope looks upward.

Prayer
Lord, when the world feels uncertain, help me to lift my eyes to You. Fill my heart with hope and keep me ready for the day of Your redemption. Amen.

We are nearing the time when Christ will come in power and great glory to take His ransomed ones to their eternal home.... . Maranatha 311.4
