HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE OTHERS?

He said “Love…as I have loved you.” We cannot love too much.
- Amy Carmichael

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
John 13:34-35

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8

Since we are new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) and we are going to love others as He loves us, then we….
-cannot allow ourselves to have unresolved issues with others!
-cannot remove ourselves from others because of differences of opinions!
-cannot make a ridiculous statement such as “I will love you from a far because divine love does not operate like that (1 Corinthians 13). Making such a statement reveals that person does not know what real love is!
-will love all unsaved people the way that the Lord Jesus does and we will do everything possible to share the gospel with them!
Etc.
If you do not belong to the Lord Jesus, come to Him NOW!
“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”
1 John 5:12

WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT!

“The most important thing in your life is not what you do; it's who you become.”
Dallas Willard

“He must increase, but I must decrease.” – John the Baptist
John 3:30

A big mistake that many born-again Christians make is concentrating on accomplishing things rather than becoming more like their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! The more you become more like Him, the more you will enjoy His richest blessings and accomplish everything that He wants you to accomplish for His glory!
The more we become like the Lord Jesus we will become…..
-better spouses and have victorious marriages!
-better children and have victorious families!
-better fellow believers and have victorious churches!
-better employers / employees with enjoyable workplaces!
-better neighbors!
-better advisors / counselors!
-better friends!
-better at sharing the gospel with unsaved people!
-better at using our talents and spiritual gifts for His glory!
-better at using our time with eternities values in view!
Etc.
If He is not your Lord and Savior, come to the Lord Jesus NOW!
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Acts 4:12

YOU JUST CANNOT DO IT!

You cannot make men good by law.
- C.S. Lewis

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
Romans 3:19-20

“Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster (tutor and our disciplinarian) to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.”
Galatians 3:24

The Law was not given to us to make us good but to show because of our sinfulness that we guilty before God without any hope apart from Christ and lead us to salvation in Him! Repenting of all our sin (Luke 13:5,) and receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are made righteous in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Before the Father, we are accepted in the Beloved, the Lord Jesus (Ephesians 1:6).
Now, we are able to do good, do what is right in the sight of God as we are surrendered to the Lordship of Christ, God the Son, and, therefore, to the control of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18)!
No laws passed by the President and Congress can make people good which is proven over and over again! Only Jesus Christ can!
If you do not belong to Him, come to the Lord Jesus NOW!
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23

HOW TO LIVE EACH DAY!

Forget yourself and live for others, for It is more blessed to give than to receive.
A.B. Simpson

“Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto (served), but to minister (serve), and to give his life a ransom for many.”
Matthew 20:28

Every born-again believer ought to imitate their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and daily forget about themselves and look for all the opportunities to serve others! Remember, you will reap what you sow!
Think how much better Christian marriages and families would be if all the members had the attitude of serving each other and not insisting on having their own way!
Think about how this will affect our churches if all the people did the same!
If we determine to lovingly, humbly serve unsaved people, we will have the opportunity to share the gospel with them!
Have you thought of how much better your workplace will be if you make the decision to serve your coworkers?
We are commanded to imitate the Lord Jesus so failure to do so is to deliberately disobey and sin against Him! It is foolish to expect Him to answer our prayers and give us His richest blessings, when we refuse to let Him serve others through us!
Do you want to experience the fulness of His joy (John 15:11) Then, make yourself a servant like your Lord and Savior!
If you are not one of His, come to the Lord Jesus NOW!
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE AUTHOR?

I hope your answer is our great triune God!

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17

“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
2 Peter 1:21

The Bible, God’s Word is the most important book because it deals with every aspect of life! It instructs as to what we….
-should believe, how to live pleasing to our Lord for His glory and our benefit, what to do when we fail, how to have enjoyable marriages and families, how to be prosperous, how to have good relationships, how to be good employers / employees, how to reach lost people for Christ, how to effective encouragers, etc.
Think what a difference it would make in our country if every politician were a born-again believer and ran our local, state, and federal government according to the commands of God!
Enjoy books by your favorite earthly authors but judge everything they say by the yardstick of God’s Word!
If you do not belong to the Lord Jesus Christ, repent of all your sin (Luke 13:3,5) and trust Him and only Him to be your Lord and Savior before it is too late!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16

DECISION MAKING!

When the believer is faced with a decision regarding a questionable matter, he should never proceed unless he has complete peace about it. If there is nothing wrong with it, then God is able to give complete peace.
- Curtis Hutson

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
Isaiah 26:3

The Lord Jesus will not only give us His perfect peace in all the tribulations that we experience on our journey home, but He will give us perfect peace in all our decision making! Therefore, as we make decisions in all the areas of our lives, He will confirm His will by giving us His perfect peace. Many times, we face questionable matters, and He wants us to know what His will is and experience perfect peace! So, whether we make decisions regarding our marriage, family, finances, careers, relationships, in our churches, whether a particular matter is right or wrong, we must wait on Him and let Him reveal what His will is and confirm it with His perfect peace and assurance! Then, we will never say, “I think this is the Lord’s will.”
If you are not at peace with the Lord Jesus because He is not your Lord and Savior, come to Him NOW!

SHARING A SECRET!

“The secret is Christ in me, not me in a different set of circumstances.”
Elisabeth Elliot

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20

So many times we face difficulties in various areas of our lives and we are tempted by Satan through our old sinful nature to think that the key to making things better it to change our circumstances rather than letting Christ, who lives in us, rule in those times, make real in and through us His wisdom, and make changes in us!
Pastors have moved from one church to another thinking that changing circumstances will remove their problems and make them more successful. If they had stayed, they could have had more years of fruitful ministry!
Spouses have convinced themselves that they will have a better marriage and that family problems will be resolved if they change their circumstances rather than letting the Lord make the changes in and through them that are needed!
Others have moved from one job to another and made other decisions in haste because of being convinced that change of circumstances was the answer rather than their relationship with the Lord Jesus being deepened!
In every situation, remember the Lord’s greatness and let Him make any changes He wants to make!
If you do not belong to the Lord Jesus, come to Him NOW!
“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”

“I DESIRE TO HAVE THAT!

If you see any beauty in Christ, and say, "I desire to have that," God will work it in you.
- G.V. Wigram

“Charity (agape love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Here is a tremendous description of our Lord’s character and love!
When born-again believers are surrendered to His Lordship and, therefore, the control of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18), you will not hear of their marriages ending up in divorce, their families described as dysfunctional (of course all members of the family have to be surrendered to His Lordship), their churches torn with division and the occurrence of church splits, the lack of making a difference in their communities and workplace, the lack of a passionate love for and witness to lost souls who desperately need to hear the gospel and see Christ’s love demonstrated etc.
When they are controlled with the love of Christ, you will not hear stories of falling into sin, but you will hear stories of how they are glorifying their Lord and Savior in every area of their lives!
May it be always said of you and I that we daily desire an intimate relationship with Him and the manifestation of His love in our lives! When this is true, we will produce super-abundant fruit for His glory!
If you are not one of His, come to the Lord Jesus NOW!
“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”

THE BEAUTIFUL THING!

The beautiful thing about this adventure called faith is that we can count on Him never to lead us astray.
- Chuck Swindoll

“Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.”
Psalm 5:8

“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.”
Psalm 23:2-3

Oh, how beautiful thing it is that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ will always lead us in His perfect righteousness to know and do what is right according to His character and what will give us the greatest satisfaction!
In the adventure of faith, He will make us successful in all the areas of our lives that He will be glorified and that we may experience His richest blessings!
What a beautiful thing it is to know that He will not withhold from us any good thing (Psalm 34:10; 84:11)
What a beautiful thing it is that we can have an intimate relationship with the Lord!
What a beautiful thing it is that we can count on His faithfulness and leadership in every area of our lives!
If you are not one of His, come to the Lord Jesus NOW!

MOST BELOVED SPOT!

O, let the place of secret fellowship with our great triune God, the Father, the Lord Jesus, and the Holy Spirit become to everyone of us who have been saved by the grace of God, purchased with the precious blood of Christ the most beloved spot on earth!

“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.”
1 John 1:3

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.”
2 Corinthians 13:14

After all that the Lord Jesus has done for us to make us His own, who loves us more than anyone else can, who desires for us to have intimate, secret fellowship with Him, the Father, and the Holy Spirit fail to have that blessed spot or spots every day!
When we do, life will be so much more enjoyable because we will experience His richest blessings, power (Philippians 4:13), perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3), and fulness of joy (John 15:11) in every situation! We will bear super-abundant fruit for His glory (John 15:16)! He will have the preeminence in every area of our lives (Colossians 1:18) and we will be the most satisfied people in the world!
Determine every day that you are going to make secret fellowship with your great triune God the priority of your life!
If you cannot do so because you are not a child of God, repent of all your sin and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior NOW!
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
