As students and teachers head back to school, we invite you to join us in this prayer:
God who never changes, you are with us in all of our changes. Thank you for your steadfast love. Thank you for your care for teachers, for children, and for parents.
We pray for teachers: give them creativity, energy, and encouragement. Guard their health and provide for their needs.
We pray for the students in our church family and in our neighborhoods who are going back to school. Bless them, encourage them, and protect them. Help them to learn well. As they learn truth, open their eyes so that they will see Jesus, who is the Truth. Strengthen them to honor their teachers and love their classmates. We pray this will be a year of learning and of growth in grace!
