What does it really mean to be free?

In John 8, Jesus tells His followers, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples.” He goes on to make an extraordinary promise: “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

But Jesus is speaking of something deeper than the freedoms we enjoy in everyday life. He offers freedom from the power of sin through faith in Him.
