This is a gathering of people in the Santa Rosa area of Sonoma County, in the north San Francisco Bay area of California, who believe that Yeshua of Natzeret (Jesus of Nazareth) is the Anointed One (Christ or Messiah) of the Creator, the God of Israel from long ago. As a "messianic" fellowship, we seek to learn together about God from His word, the Bible, via the many lessons encapsulated in the first five books of the Bible and explained by the prophets and the Messiah.

This week's reading in the three-year Torah cycle, Leviticus 15, and parallel passages Hosea 6:1–9; and Matthew 23:25–26 teach that God desires more than outward ritual purity. He seeks transformed hearts. Leviticus highlights the need for cleansing from impurity, Hosea calls Israel to return to God with covenant faithfulness (or “lovingkindness”) rather than empty sacrifices, and Yeshua rebukes religious leaders for focusing on external appearances while neglecting inner righteousness. A recurring message of the Bible is God’s restoration of the outcast. This week's reading in the three-year Torah cycle, Leviticus 14, details the cleansing and return of the l***r to the community. Leviticus at times sounds like a public health primer. But God’s concern is deeper than physical disease. It is about restoration to covenant fellowship.
