A few pictures from our hike at Estero Americano Coast Preserve last week. We certainly experienced delight at this incredible location, in God's creation and in spending time with each other. Today in worship we considered the gift of delight in the practice of Sabbath. If you enjoy hiking and incredible ocean vistas, this could be a wonderful way to spend part of your Sabbath.

Some of the topics we will explore regarding poverty alleviation: Reconsidering the Meaning of Poverty, Understanding Why Good Intentions are Not Enough, Joining God’s Work and Fostering Change. We will meet in Room 113 from 9:30am-1:30pm, lunch provided by the Redwood Gospel Catering Company.

Don’t miss our guest preacher, Rabbi George Gittleman this Sunday! Rabbi George Gittleman is Rabbi Emeritus of Congregation Shomrei Torah in Santa Rosa, where he served for 28 years. A Fellow of the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem and the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, his rabbinate has been shaped by a commitment to spiritual practice, interfaith engagement, and social justice. George and his wife, Laura, have been married for 36 years and are the parents of 30-year-old twins, Levi and Sophia. These days, he continues to teach and lead retreats while enjoying the natural beauty of Sonoma County through bird photography, fly fishing, walks with their dog, Joey and playing with his 2 year old grandson, Jamie.
