Frodo, carrying a burden heavier than anyone should bear, never stopped showing compassion. Sam, faithful beyond what was asked of him, kept showing up anyway. Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, each one growing into something they couldn't have become alone.

Challenge after challenge. Hurdle after hurdle. And somewhere along the way, the journey changed them. Not just individually. As a whole.

That's what community does. That's what it means to walk alongside one another through the hard and the holy.

One of the most powerful lines in storytelling history:

"I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you."

Sam didn't take Frodo's burden away. He couldn't. But when Frodo had nothing left, Sam stepped in and carried him.

That's what sacrificial love actually looks like. Not fixing everything for someone. Not making their pain disappear. Just showing up, getting underneath the weight with them, and refusing to let them fall alone.

Those familiar words, "the grace of Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit," have been spoken for generations. They're even woven into our communion liturgy. And they hold so much meaning.

The Holy Trinity, three in one, shows us that at the very heart of God is relationship. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit don't exist in isolation. They exist in communion with each other.

And we are called into that same kind of relationship, with God and with one another.

That's not just a theological idea. It's an invitation.

With heavy hearts we share the news in the passing of Bob Heilman on Sunday June 7th. We will miss the joy and care that he carried with him.

To Judy, Kathy, Danny, Alex, Case, Kim, Blake, and the entire family of Bob, we offer our condolences and prayers during this season and lift you up in your grief.

Visitation will be at Rainey funeral home Thursday from 3:00-8:00 pm and Friday 10:00-11:00 am

The service will be Friday at 11:00 am following the final hour of visitation with burial at Santa Claus cemetery following.

As June begins, we recognize Pride Month and celebrate the truth that every person is created in the image of God and deeply loved by Christ.

At Noel United Methodist Church, we believe God's grace is for everyone. The invitation of Jesus is wide, all are welcome, and there is a place for you here. No matter your story, your questions, your background, or where you find yourself on life's journey, you are welcome at Christ's table.

On Pentecost and Aldersgate Sunday, we wore red to remember the fire of the Holy Spirit and the warmth of hearts changed by God's grace. We give thanks for a church family where faith is lived, love is shared, and God's Spirit is still moving among us today. May the fire that stirred hearts long ago continue to ignite hope in ours.

Three Years! Yes, it’s been that long!

Think about what all we have done and accomplished!

We didn’t have all the answers. We didn’t (and still not yet) have a permanent building. We didn’t know exactly what the future would hold.

But, we believed God was calling us to create a church centered on Jesus, rooted in love, open to all people, and committed to building something new together.

Today, we celebrate 3 years of Noel UMC.

Three years of worship.
Three years of prayers.
Three years of serving our community.

Most of all, three years of watching God move in ways we never could have imagined.

To every person who has helped set up chairs, led worship, taught kids, cooked meals, given generously, invited friends, prayed faithfully, or simply just shown up we say…THANK YOU.

You are part of this story.

And the beautiful thing is…we’re just getting started.

Happy 3rd Anniversary, Noel UMC. We are blessed to remember where we’ve been, who we’ve become, and where God is leading us next!
