Pride is a celebration of love, identity, and the courage to live authentically. It’s also a reminder that the systems that harm LGBTQIA+ people are often the same ones harming the Earth. This month, we’re recommitting to a future where everyone—and every being—can thrive. Happy Pride from UU Ministry for Earth. 💚🏳️‍🌈

What sparks your curiosity? What is it that ignites your passions – art, invention, exploration, science? How might you appeal to another’s curiosity to motivate them?
This coming Sunday May 31st Chris Hankla, long-time member of the UU of SCV congregation, will present excerpts from Britannica’s article about personal curiosity.

Interfaith action with Unitarian Universalist Clergy members demonstrating our values

Black clergy from across denominations returned to Selma this weekend as we are once again called to bear witness to the entrenched racism, fear, and violence in the United States.

Actions by the US Supreme Court and elsewhere in our government have laid bare once again the depths of anti-black sentiment that is so pervasive in this country. It was an honor to join in worship and witness with so many people of faith as we came together to say, "Never again."

Read more of the coverage in the The New York Times link below and follow Side With Love, linked below, for photos and livestreamed coverage of the weekend's events.

In a recent UU World reflection on meeting this moment, Rev. Elizabeth Buffington Nguyen offers a powerful vision: “everything for everyone.”

Healthcare. Housing. Education. Mental health. Freedom to migrate. The ability not just to survive, but to thrive. These are not privileges for a chosen few. They are part of what it means to honor the inherent worth and dignity of every person.

At a time when fear, scarcity, and division are shaping so much public life, this reflection calls us back to a deeper truth: another world is possible, and love asks us to help build it together.

Your UUA has been stewarding Wave Cohorts over the past year, bringing together UUs to build shared analysis, align strategy and action, and create synergy across our ecosystem. Whether Waves gather to focus on Q***r and Trans Communities in Crisis, Congregational Administration, Whole Church Religious Education, or other topic areas, all Waves ask: What do our shared values call us to do in response to this moment?

Join us tonight, Tuesday, April 21 at 8pm ET/5pm PT to learn from some past Wave facilitators and gain insight into their collective discernment. UUA senior leadership will also share how these learnings are driving the strategy and focus of our Association.
