What if rest isn’t something you have to earn?

In this week’s message, we sat with one of Jesus’ most personal invitations: “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Not a task. Not a formula. An invitation: to lay it down and actually breathe.

So here’s the real question: what’s the “burden” you’ve been carrying like it’s yours to fix alone?

What if you brought it to someone you trust, to share the load with you? What if you brought it to Jesus?

To hear more about the invitation Jesus has for us, head to the link in our bio to watch the full message from this Sunday.

Have you ever wondered what the core of the Christian Faith is?

This Sunday, in between series, Mark Wollen is answering this question. Join us at 9:30am or 11am to hear all about what Christianity is all about and how that reflects in our lives!

This Sunday we are starting a brand new series “How to be Human.”

We live in a wired world where technology connects us, informs us, entertains us, and increasingly shapes us. AI, social media, and our phones can bring incredible good, but they can also leave us distracted, anxious, divided, and dependent.

We’re even turning to technology for things like truth, wisdom, relationship, and discipleship—things that were never meant to replace God or real community. “How to be Human” explores how we can navigate these challenges without rejecting the technology that can serve us well.

Together, we’ll ask what it looks like to follow Jesus in a world of constant connection, rapid change, and endless information. Because the goal isn’t simply to use technology wisely, but to become people whose lives are shaped by the wisdom of Jesus.

We are kicking off the fall and taking time to honor the teachers, administrators and anyone working in our schools!

At Eastown, we believe people in our schools are strategically placed to have an incredible impact on the younger generation. We can all think of at least one teacher or coach who were big encouragements to us as we grew up and went through our formative years in school. Those working in the school space are contributing to us, our students, and our community day-in and day-out and we want to acknowledge that!

If you know a coach, a teacher or administrator, invite them Sunday, September 13th because not only will we have a fun treat, we will celebrate them with a gift! They can head to the link in our bio to choose what giftcard they would like to receive as a part of it. We cannot wait to celebrate! Join us for our 9:30am or 11am service that Sunday!

Eastown Kids is starting a brand new series!!

Spills happen. Paint tips over, slime sticks to the table, and sometimes projects don’t turn out the way we planned.

Other times, the mess is on the inside: hurt feelings, mistakes, or choices we wish we could undo. In this series “What a Mess,” we’ll learn about a Savior who doesn’t step back from messes. Jesus steps right in, bringing healing, peace, forgiveness, and brand-new beginnings.

In this four-week series, we’ll see that Jesus isn’t afraid of our mess, Jesus gives us peace when life is messy, Jesus sees a miracle when others see a mess, and Jesus forgives us when we mess up.

Bring your kid and join us at Eastown this Sunday at 9:30am or 11am! Eastown Kids would love to get to know them and they don’t want to miss out on the fun🥳

This past Sunday we talked about a simple truth: Everyone everywhere matters to God.

Everywhere we go, we get to join Jesus in what He is already doing and this past April, a team from Eastown had the privilege of traveling to Kenya and spending time with our Pokot brothers and sisters.

And one of the greatest things we brought home wasn’t something we gave—it was something we learned. We saw incredible faith, generosity in the midst of scarcity, joy that wasn’t dependent on circumstances and leaders deeply committed to changing the landscape of their own communities.

We were reminded that we don’t bring Jesus somewhere. He is already there. And you don’t have to go to Kenya to be a part of what Jesus is already doing. He’s doing something on your street, in your neighborhood, at your work and in your school.

Take time and ask yourself this question: How can I be a part of what Jesus is already doing?

What if there was a place where you could explore life’s biggest questions without pressure or judgment?

That’s Alpha.

It’s for the curious, the skeptical, the unsure, and anyone wondering if there might be more to life and faith.

Good food. Real conversation. No question is off limits.
You don’t have to believe. You just have to be curious.

Try Alpha.

Have you ever lost someone in a crowded space? Or a kid in the grocery store?

For those moments, nothing else matters except for finding that person. You lose sight of the crowd and focus on the one person you are trying to find.

Sometimes, we ourselves can feel lost; unseen and unknown. But what if there was a God who sees you? What if there was a God who is focusing on you so that you can see and feel how much He knows and loves you?

Maybe it doesn’t always feel like that is true when it comes to God, or that is a concept that feels too unreal. Wherever you’re at, Sundays at Eastown are meant to be a space to explore these questions together and to learn more about who exactly God is.

Join us at 9:30am or 11am as we keep asking these big and small questions! And head to the link in our bio if you missed this past Sundays message ❤️
