ILMC Weekend is only a few days away, and we can’t wait to spend this weekend serving, connecting, worshiping, and celebrating together!

Saturday morning, we’re rolling up our sleeves for our church workday, and then enjoying lunch, games, and some good time together. 💙

Then Sunday, we CELEBRATE! We’ll gather for special services and baptisms as we get to witness changed lives and celebrate what Jesus is doing in our church family.

These are the kinds of weekends you don’t want to hear about afterward. You want to BE THERE. 👏🏼

The crowd had the facts right. They just got the ending wrong.

Jairus’ daughter had died. Everyone assumed Jesus was too late. Logically, that made sense… except Jesus was standing right there.

But don't we often do the same thing? We look at the diagnosis, the closed door, the unanswered prayer, or the situation that hasn’t changed and decide we already know how the story ends.

Faith doesn’t ignore the facts. It refuses to leave Jesus out of them. 🙏🏼

👉🏼 Where in your life are you tempted to decide, “It’s over,” before trusting Jesus with the outcome?

San Jose, there’s a lot to love about calling this place home! From an afternoon exploring Alum Rock Park to catching a beautiful South Bay sunset, there are plenty of reminders to slow down and enjoy the community God has placed us in.

This week, try something simple: invite a neighbor for a walk, grab coffee with a friend, or spend some time praying for the people who call Silicon Valley home.

We believe God has placed us here for a purpose, and we want to be people who bring the hope and love of Jesus wherever we go. 💙

Imagine finding out someone would have come to church with you months ago. They were just waiting to be asked.

We can spend so much time worrying about making an invitation awkward that we forget the other person is perfectly capable of saying yes or no. You don’t need to pressure them, preach at them, or come up with the perfect thing to say.

You can simply text, “Hey, I’m going to church tomorrow. Want to come with me?”

Maybe they say no. Nothing terrible happens. Maybe they say yes, sit next to you tomorrow, hear exactly what they needed to hear, and begin taking steps toward Jesus. 🙌🏼

You can’t control their response. You can make the invitation.

We're gathering tomorrow at 9 AM and 11 AM. Think of one person and ask them to come sit with you. 💙

Sometimes following God means trusting Him when you don't understand what He's allowing. We won't always know why something happened or why God didn't change it. And if we're honest, there will be times we're frustrated about that. But we don't have to understand everything God does in order to follow Him.

He's God. We're not. Our job is to keep trusting His character and His Word, even when life gets ugly. 🙏🏼

There’s something special about seeing the church be the church. That’s why ILMC Weekend means so much to us. 💙

It’s not just about getting some work done around the church or gathering for another Sunday service. It’s about serving side by side, sharing a meal, laughing together, building relationships, and celebrating the lives God is changing right here in our church family.

And when we get to watch someone step into the waters of baptism and publicly say, “I belong to Jesus,” that’s something worth celebrating together! 🙌🏼

September 12 & 13 is a weekend to remember what makes Life Valley so special: we’re a family, we’re in this together, and God is still at work.

We hope you’ll be part of it!
