11/20/22 Announcements:

1. Baptism & New Member Celebration, Nov. 20 — This Sunday, we will be celebrating our 16 new members and witnessing the baptism and baptism testimonies. Please join us for lunch at the lawn area at 12:45pm and the service at 1:30pm.

2. Advent starts next week — We will be lighting the Advent candles and reading Scripture along with a time of prayer reflection using beautiful paintings by artist Bette Dickinson, highlighting the witnesses of Christ’s birth from Luke 1-2.

3. Operation Christmas Child — 40 boxes were packed and sent to Operation Christmas Child this year. These boxes go to bless children around the world with God’s love and a chance to hear the gospel.

4. Chinese Christian Herald Support — The total donation collected from our church is $3,457.70. It will be sent to support the Chinese Christian Herald newspaper.

5. Perspectives Class — You are invited to join a unique discipleship course that will give you a new and deeper understanding of God's story and His desire for you to be a part of it. You will hear 15 outstanding instructors share from their experience and teach on the biblical, historical, cultural and strategic perspectives of God's plan for the nations. Find out what your part is in this exciting movement to make Jesus' disciples from all nations. There will also be worship, prayer, and interactive activities. With the chaos in the world, NOW may be the best time for you to participate in this! Classes are held at Chinese Church in Christ, San Jose on Mondays from Jan. 16-May 22. 6. Humanitarian Support for Pakistan — Due to recent severe flooding, a third of Pakistan was underwater and over a thousand people lost their lives. In addition, 33 million people were displaced and the rebuilding may take years since infrastructure that would help people receive aid, such as roads, was damaged. Currently, people are facing starvation. In response, we would like to encourage you to donate to the World Food Programme, an organization we have worked with in the past, to bring relief to the people of Pakistan. 1. 浸禮及歡迎新會友–本主日下午1:30在敬拜中心舉行。午餐設於草坪，登記用膳者請於崇拜後盡快領取享用。

2. 將臨節下週開始–將臨節持續四個主日直至聖誕節，為要慶祝主耶穌基督的降生，亦是我們熱切期盼迎接救主榮耀的再來。

3. 聖誕崇拜/聚餐–12/11日粵語崇拜舉行福音主日崇拜，題目為「某年某月某日的快樂聖誕」。教會已印製邀請卡，歡迎大家邀請和派發。另外，大家可填寫代禱卡，寫下想邀請的朋友和需要，並放在大堂的收集箱內，粵語事工組同工會為你們邀請的對象祈禱。

當天崇拜後有午餐供應，並設有抽獎活動。大家可以在大堂報名，或掃描邀請卡上的二維碼報名。11/20日起，我們在大堂收集聖誕禮物作抽獎之用，歡迎有感動的弟兄姊妹參與。大家有任何問題，請與馬艷飄（Piu)姊妹或鄺采瑩（Zita)姊妹聯絡。

4. 聖誕鞋盒–今年共收集了40個聖誕鞋盒，願藉這些禮物盒將神的愛及福音傳送至世界不同地區的小朋友。多謝大家的參與。

5. 基督教角聲佈道團募款報告–我們共籌募得款項$3,457.70。教會將於日內寄送款項至該機構。

3. Sharing from a Mission Partner, Nov. 13 — We will be having one of our mission partners visit and share at 11:30am in the Fellowship Hall after worship on this Sunday, November 13. Please join and ask questions. This month's Growth Groups will be moved to November 20 and November 27.

4. Chinese Christian Herald Support — The Herald newspaper is an important Christian journal distributed to Chinese-speaking households in the area and is also used as an outreach aid to Chinese in other countries. Due to rising costs, the local branch has asked for support and SCBC has set a fundraising goal of at least $3000. If you would like to donate to support CCHC, you may write a check to SCBC with the memo: "CCHC"; or make a donation online by November 13.

5. Volunteers for Mobile Closet, 11/18 — Please pray for our next Mobile Closet which will be held at SCBC on Friday, November 18 from 3-4:30pm. Helpers welcome, but no donations needed at this moment. If you are a friendly person and would like to be a greeter, please contact Daniel Chow or email [email protected]. Spanish- or Vietnamese-speakers are especially needed.

This workshop is to help parents understand their children's brain development, and learn how to communicate well in order to disciple your children in a loving manner. 2. 「談天說地」–10/13日專題研討「退而不休」及午餐。早上9時教會停車場集合。請與負責人黃星威(Thomas)聯絡加入群組及報名。

3. 支持 Urbana參加者–Urbana是每三年舉辦一次的宣教會議，目的是幫助信徒對神的宣教使命更清晰及個人回應。參加者從神話語的視野去探視使命，崇敬我們的主，並在祂福音使命中找到自己的角色。南灣將有一行8人參加此次會議。如果你願意支持，從今日起至10/30日期間透過https://southbaycommunitybaptist.churchcenter.com/giving/to/urbana-2022 “Special Project” 進行捐贈。或以支票/現金形式進行，請註明Urbana 2022 。附上參加隊的信件 ，請為他們代禱。
