June is the Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. ❤️
For generations, Catholics have dedicated this month to reflecting on the love of Christ revealed in His Sacred Heart. It's a reminder that our faith is not merely a set of beliefs or rules, but a relationship with a Savior who knows us, loves us, and never stops seeking us.

The image of the Sacred Heart speaks of a love that is patient, faithful, and merciful, a love that remains open even in the face of rejection, suffering, or indifference. In a world so often marked by anxiety, division, and loneliness, the Sacred Heart reminds us that God has not abandoned His people.

This year holds special meaning: as our nation commemorates 250 years of independence, the bishops of the United States will consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, entrusting our families, communities, and future to His loving care. 🇺🇸

May this month be an invitation to spend a little more time in prayer, to visit the Blessed Sacrament, and to draw our hearts closer to the Heart of Christ.

✝️ Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

Pope Leo XIV presented his first encyclical letter, "Magnifica Humanitas: On Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence". This is the first time a papal encyclical has been publicly presented by the pope himself.

The creators of AI are in many cases frightened by what they have made. They have been the ones reaching out to philosophers, theologians, and pastors, seeking a moral voice.

That should give us pause. And it should give us hope.

Bishop Oscar Cantú reflects on Pope Leo XIV's Magnifica Humanitas, drawing a striking parallel to 1891, when Pope Leo XIII wrote Rerum Novarum in the middle of another revolution the world did not fully understand. The Church spoke then not to condemn progress, but to insist that progress had to serve humanity. Bishop Cantú believes we are living in that kind of moment again.
