Event Description
The Our Lady of Fatima Pilgrimage is a monthly diocesan-wide journey of prayer and community, taking place from May through October across different parishes in San Jose. Each gathering includes Mass followed by a Rosary procession, uniting families and parish communities in faith.

🙏🏽 Join us in celebrating a very special milestone! 🙏🏽

For 21 years, Fr. Vincent Pineda has faithfully answered God’s call with a shepherd’s heart, compassionate spirit, and unwavering dedication to our parish family. From celebrating the sacraments to walking with us in moments of joy, sorrow, and faith, Fr. Vincent continues to inspire us through his kindness, leadership, and love for Christ.

As many know, Fr. Vincent enjoys running the race of faith—always moving forward with purpose (and with faithful Coco by his side 🐾). Today, we give thanks for his 21 years of priestly ministry and pray for many more years of blessings, health, and joyful service.

Please join us in wishing Fr. Vincent Pineda a very Happy 21st Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood! 💛

Congratulations, Fr. Vincent! Thank you for your faithful “yes” to God and for blessing the St. Francis of Assisi Parish family. 🙏🏽⛪🐾

Today’s Mystery of the Holy Trinity celebrates God is one in a Loving Community of Three. Divisiveness is the enemy of community. Some describe hell as being cut off from community. Our Goal is to mirror the Divine and live in a loving community. We may miss that mark because we are stressed, anxious, sad, lonely, or afraid.

To help us feel whole and healthy, we need self-care.

In today’s bulletin read the reflection on self-care. Self-care is essential for wholeness, happiness, and holiness. At the recent clergy study week, our priests studied self-care. Self-Care has four easy steps: M-E-D-S.

M is for for Meditation or Prayer daily—5 min to 20 minutes—think of it as your Daily Date with the Divine. E equals Exercise. Move 30 minutes each day—walk, dance, garden, or run like Fr. Vince! What do you think D stands for? Right. Diet—preferably with 5 servings of fruits and veggies daily. And “S” is…..Sleep! At the Clergy Study Week, most priests were surprised that adults need 7-9 hours sleep daily –in a quiet, dark room, no laptops, cell phones, or TVs. “S” also stands for social. We need one another. We need community. Come to our Mental Health Table and connect. We are there to listen and to pray with you. We’d love to connect with you in a loving community!

RECAP:🏃‍♀️ Francis 5k Fundraiser 🏃| Saturday, May 23, 2026

Our volunteers and 5K participants arrived bright and early on Saturday, May 23rd for this awesome event! Running or walking all 7 laps meant completing the course, and we had a wide variety of 5K styles: fast runners, walkers grooving to some tunes, owners with their pets, and even little ones walking with their grandparents! Our fastests runners received a prize for their efforts, and all participants walked away with limited edition Jubilee Year medallion.

It was lovely to see over 50+ individuals show up to support our youth and young adult programs in this special way, and we are grateful to all of YOU, our parishioners, for investing in the Young Church!

We are so blessed and grateful for the many hands that came together to "run" this event. This 5K Fundraiser would not have been possible without the help of the following volunteers:

Event Marshals: Knights of Columbus (coordinated by Paul Kennedy)

Check-In/First Aid Crew: Lerma Simpson, Rosie Olivas, Annette Moreira, Ederlyn Suriaga, Larissa Olivas

Sound System & Hype: Leslie, Kevin

Water Station & Set-Up Volunteers: Duy Nguyen, Michaela Gundayao, Khloe, Zemira, Myra, Gianna

Event Coordinators: Fr. Vincent Pineda, Therese Bao

Photography/Videography: Christopher Pham, Dan McGrath, & Leslie Legacion
