Today the Church celebrates Corpus Christi: the gift of Christ truly present in the Eucharist.

Strengthened by Christ’s Body and Blood, the faithful are sent into the world to proclaim the Gospel, serve the poor, and carry His presence to every nation.

May we not only receive Christ today, but bring Him to others.

❤️‍🔥Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena: Day 5

Lord Jesus, Saviour of the world and source of holiness, look with kindness on all whom you have chosen to be Missionaries of your loving Heart. Ask your heavenly Father to keep us in your love, and sanctify us in the truth so that you may be glorified in us and we may reflect your goodness. Ask your Father to keep us from evil that we may always be united in bonds of love. As you are one with your Father, so may we be one with each other in your divine Heart, whose sentiments shall forever be ours and to which we consecrate ourselves in time and for eternity. Amen.

In the heart of Silicon Valley, the Church has a unique opportunity and responsibility to engage the ethical questions shaping our future.

This morning, Bishop Oscar Cantú welcomed 350 attendees to Conversations on Human Dignity, Ethics, and AI, a collaborative event between the Diocese of San José and the California Catholic Conference. Together with leaders from technology, academia, and the Church, we’re exploring how emerging technologies can be guided by principles that uphold the dignity of every human person.

This July, our nation marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, a milestone that invites celebration, reflection, and renewal. From its beginning, our country was grounded in a bold moral claim: that all people are created equal and endowed with inherent dignity.

❤️‍🔥Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena: Day 4

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen (Diary: Divine Mercy in My Soul, 950).

❤️‍🔥Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena: Day 3

“O most Sacred, most loving Heart of Jesus, Thou art concealed in the Holy Eucharist, and Thou beatest for us still… I worship Thee then with all my best love and awe, with my fervent affection, with my most subdued, most resolved will. O my God, when Thou dost condescend to suffer me to receive Thee, to eat and drink Thee, and Thou for a while takest up Thy abode within me, O make my heart beat with Thy Heart” (Meditations and Devotions, London, 1912, Part III [XVI], par. 3, pp. 573-574).

On Day 4 of the Camino de California, our diocese had the joy of welcoming the Eucharistic Pilgrimage to Santa Clara County.

On a beautiful late-May afternoon, pilgrims set out from historic Mission Santa Clara and walked together about two and a half miles to St. Justin Parish. Bishop Cantu and several of our local priests took turns carrying our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, leading the faithful through the heart of our community. Along the way, we paused in prayer at St. Clare Church, a Jubilee site this year as we mark the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi's death, and at the Carmelite Monastery, where the cloistered Discalced Carmelite nuns hold all of us in their constant prayer.

The Camino de California connects all 21 California missions into a single Eucharistic pilgrimage. We're grateful to everyone who walked, prayed, and welcomed the pilgrims along the way.

For married couples, moving is more than a change of address. Whether you’re newlyweds settling into your first home or a growing family searching for more space, a move shakes up your social, professional, family and spiritual life. But it can also be an opportunity for spiritual growth through the everyday practices of love and partnership.

❤️‍🔥Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena: Day 2
Pray:
Lord Jesus, You gave your life for us. Your Sacred Heart is ablaze with love. Your hand extends towards me, and towards all, offering love, mercy, and healing. Sacred Heart of Jesus may your love transform me. Burn away my hesitation that I may become your love and radiate your mercy. Amen.
