Talking about the Sabbath with someone can feel a little intimidating. Where do you start? What if they have questions you’re not sure how to answer?

Facing the Storm takes a different approach. It weaves the biblical truth about the Sabbath into an engaging allegorical story—one that invites readers to think, feel, question, and discover.

Along the way, the book addresses the common arguments against the Sabbath without turning the conversation into a debate.

Sometimes the best way to share truth is simply to put a good story in someone’s hands.

Who comes to mind when you think about sharing this book?

Life has a way of filling every open space with notifications, errands, and deadlines. Before long, the people who matter most—and even our time with God—can end up squeezed into whatever is left.

The Sabbath invites us to do something different. It gives us permission to slow down, worship together, share an unhurried meal, take a walk, have real conversations, and remember that relationships grow best when they aren't rushed.

Maybe the greatest gift of the Sabbath isn't checking another item off the calendar. Maybe it's reconnecting with the One who gives us life and the people who make life meaningful.

Who is one person you'd like to reconnect with this Sabbath? Tell us in the comments—or better yet, invite them to spend part of the day with you.

Being tired has almost become a badge of honor. We joke about needing another vacation, or a nap that lasts until Tuesday. But maybe constant exhaustion isn't something God ever intended.

The Sabbath gently interrupts that cycle. It reminds us to stop striving long enough to remember who is really in control. One day each week won't solve every problem, but it can begin changing the rhythm of your life.

Have you experienced the difference a true Sabbath makes? We'd love to hear your story.

We spend so much time trying to recover from a busy week that we forget God already built recovery into our lives. The Sabbath isn't just about stopping work. It's about making room to breathe, worship, reconnect, and remember that our worth isn't measured by our productivity.

When we slow down, our minds become quieter, our relationships become richer, and our hearts become more open to God's presence. That's not an accident. It's a gift.

Who notices the biggest difference in your life when you truly keep the Sabbath?

Our culture applauds people who never stop. God celebrates people who know when to. That's a very different definition of success.

The Sabbath teaches us that constant activity isn't the goal. Healthy rhythms are. When we regularly pause to worship, spend time with loved ones, and enjoy God's creation, we're reminded that life is about more than checking boxes on a to-do list.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is rest.

Tag someone who could use permission to slow down this week.

Juli discovers that following biblical truth isn't always convenient.
As she learns about the Sabbath, she also faces difficult choices involving friendships, family, and her career. Her story reminds us that faith grows strongest when it's lived, not just learned.

If you've ever wondered whether standing for your convictions is worth it, this story will encourage you - and it might encourage someone you love too.

Have you ever had to choose faith over comfort? We'd love to hear your story.

Not forever. Just long enough to remember what it feels like to be completely available to God and the people around you.

Leave a little room for an unplanned conversation. Sit with someone instead of scrolling. Ask a question and actually listen to the answer.

Our phones help us stay connected to hundreds of people. Sabbath reminds us that sometimes the person sitting right beside us needs our attention more than our screen does.

Share this with someone who might join you in the challenge.

Long before wellness trends talked about work-life balance, God gave humanity a weekly invitation to rest. The Sabbath wasn't designed because we're weak. It was designed because our Creator knows exactly how we're made.

Think about how different your week could feel if you regularly stepped away from deadlines, notifications, and endless to-do lists. Time with God, meaningful conversations, fresh air, and unhurried moments aren't luxuries—they're part of His design for a healthy life. Sometimes the healthiest choice isn't doing more. It's trusting God enough to stop.

Join us this Sabbath and experience the blessing of a day God designed with your well-being in mind.
