THIS IS WAR — New Sermon Series

There is more happening around us than what we can see.

Scripture tells us the spiritual battle is real—but it also tells us we don't enter that battle alone, afraid, or unprepared.

This October, join us at Hope Arise for THIS IS WAR, a new four-week sermon series based on Ephesians 6:10–18.

We'll learn to recognize the spiritual battle around us, identify the enemy's strategies, understand the armor God has given us, and discover what it means to stand firm when the battle comes.

This isn't about living in fear of the enemy. It's about knowing the victory already belongs to Christ—and learning to live like it.

The battle is real.

At Hope Arise, when God calls someone into a new season, we send them with prayer. 💛

Yesterday, that prayer surrounded Landry Walker as he prepares for an incredible adventure. At just 17 years old, Landry has been recruited to play soccer in Nashville — an opportunity that speaks to his talent, dedication, and the exciting road ahead.

But this send-off is really for more than just Landry.

Because Landry is still only 17, his mom Cecily is moving to Nashville with him. There are seasons when being a parent means cheering from the sidelines…and seasons when it means packing the boxes, changing your plans, and going right alongside your child.

Cecily has embraced that calling beautifully. And we also want to recognize Bryce, whose love and support are making this next chapter possible for both of them. There is real sacrifice behind an opportunity like this, and we see it. ❤️

So last week we laid hands on Landry and prayed for him — but in many ways, we were sending off an entire family into a new season.

Landry, go chase this dream. ⚽️
Cecily, go be Mom.
Bryce, thank you for loving them enough to help them go.

We trust that the same Holy Spirit who has surrounded this family here will be with them in Nashville — guiding them, protecting them, and reminding them that Hope Arise is always home.
