We had a wonderful Sunday service yesterday and raised funds to support families affected by the recent devastating floods along the Nepal–China border, which have caused tremendous loss of life and left many people missing and displaced.

Pioneers Church will match the donations received, doubling our support for families impacted by this disaster.

Today we delivered Pioneers Church’s $500 love gift to the family of Gunawan and Anne from Asian Bite while they were at the hospital. They were deeply touched, very grateful, and overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown by our church family. It was also a blessing to learn that they are fellow believers in Christ.

Let us continue to keep this wonderful family in our prayers during this difficult time. May God’s healing hand be upon Gunawan, and may His peace, grace, strength, and abundant blessings fill their entire family. May they experience the love of Christ through the support and care of His people.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The owner of Asian Bite, who has generously supported Pioneers Church by donating food for our events on multiple occasions, suffered a stroke last Saturday and is now facing the difficult decision of selling the restaurant. The family is in their 40s and has two young children.

Friends and community members are currently raising funds to help this family during this challenging time. If you would like to learn more or contribute personally, please see the link below:

In addition, Pioneers Church decided use today’s Sunday’s designated offering, together with funds from the church savings, to make a donation of $500 to this family as part of our annual community outreach and service ministry. This would be a tangible way for us to share the love and compassion of Jesus Christ with those who have shown kindness to our church.

Let us pray that God will bring healing to the owner, comfort to the family, and strength for the days ahead.

May the Lord bless this family and grant a full recovery to the owner.
