I started a podcast called Creative Process. I had to stop overthinking, start, and adjust along the way. Well… I’m happy to say that I will now be releasing a video EVERY Wednesday!

The conversations will be all about the music we’re creating, the ecosystem we’re creating, and the people who inspire us to create it.

Somebody recently asked me, “Do you do spoken word or something? I’m like who is this guy and why does he always keep showing up on my feed??”
Someone else said, “I see you everywhere on social media.”
It’s pretty wild considering that my effort on social media is minimal. 😅 But I have seen a lot of new faces here in the last month or two, so allow me to reintroduce myself…

My name is Jarrell.
• I’m married to the love of my life, Jeneil.
• We have 3 daughters.
• I’m a spoken word and hip hop artist. I’ve toured, performed, & shared stages with a ton of famous artists and speakers… which is actually kinda crazy because I’m not for real famous. God just be opening doors and I walk through them.
• My wife and I started a nonprofit called The RISE Movement that empowers creatives.
• I work part-time with an organization called South Texas Alliance for Orphans where I help young adults who are aging out foster care by connecting them to mentor families.

Bonus: my family and I go to a church called Community Bible Church (West). I think a lot of people probably know me from doing spoken word videos and performances at CBC. I just ran into a sweet lady at Chick-fil-A who was like “Do you go to CBC and do the poetry? I go to Southside and I saw you on the screen!” We love our CBC fam.

I’m not a celebrity. I’m just a dude who loves God, loves my family, loves people, and is trying my best to steward my gifts and influence well.
