🌿 World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation 🌿
Yesterday, on the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, we were invited to pause and remember the beautiful world God has entrusted to us—and our call to care for it with love and gratitude.
St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology and creation, saw God’s presence reflected throughout creation. He reminds us to approach all that God has made with wonder, reverence, and care.
For those who have experienced miscarriage and pregnancy loss, this day can hold a particularly tender meaning.
Creation reminds us that life is precious, even when it is brief. A life does not have to be long to be deeply loved. A little life does not have to be seen by the world to have been known and cherished by God.
Today, we pray for our common home, for the healing of creation, and for every mother, father, and family carrying the quiet grief of a child they hoped to welcome.
Through the intercession of St. Francis, may we learn to notice what is fragile, protect what is precious, and care for all that God has entrusted to us.
