What an awesome day of celebrating our 100th Anniversary. So many wonderful comments on how the church looked, the service and the lunch! Kim and I appreciate all the extra effort that went in to make this day a success. We ❤️our church.

Over the next two days, we will be making some finishing touches getting ready for Sunday.
Also, we would like to meet in the sanctuary at 1:00 on Saturday for a special time of prayer and some final directions for Sunday. Please join us!

Things are coming along great as we prepare for our 100th Anniversary on Sunday. The ladies have made the fellowship hall look amazing. Mr Fix-it (Steve Crooks) and his team have made some necessary improvements to the facilities. I just want to thank everyone for their hard work to make the day special.

FROM SHARON, PAT NELSON & ROBERT:

I just want to take a moment to truly thank each and every one of our church family for the love, prayers, and support you have shown us. Since moving to Oklahoma, we have walked through some very difficult seasons. In the past few months alone we have experienced so much loss, while also trying to open a new business and plant new roots in a new place. At times it has felt overwhelming, and there have been moments when the weight of it all felt so heavy.

One of my biggest fears about moving here was leaving family and feeling like we would be alone. That thought weighed on my heart more than anything. But God already had a plan in place long before we could see it.

One Sunday night we decided to attend Sallisaw First Assembly of God, and from the moment we walked through those doors something felt different. You could feel the presence of the Lord and the genuine love in that place. On the way home that night I looked at Pat and said, “We’re home.” And from that very moment, you all have welcomed us with open arms and hearts full of love.

Through every hard moment, every prayer that has been prayed, every hug, kind word, and act of kindness, God has reminded us that we are not alone. He placed us exactly where we needed to be, surrounded by an incredible church family and a powerful army of prayer warriors who stand in faith together.

Looking back now, I can clearly see God’s hand guiding us that night when we walked through those church doors. What once felt like fear of not having family has been replaced with the blessing of gaining one.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for loving us, praying for us, and standing beside us through these seasons. We are truly blessed and forever grateful to call you our church family. ❤️
