Comparison is a form of emotional cruelty disguised as standards.
Any person, especially if it’s a spouse, who is always compared to others, will eventually feel replaced.
The happiest people, the happiest couples, don’t compare themselves with other peoples jobs, money, possessions, status, or success.

comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

But in all this comparing and grading and competing, they quite miss the point.

Their trouble is that they are only comparing themselves with each other and measuring themselves against their own little ideas. What stupidity!
