The post today from Salt and Light reminds us of those in our congregation who serve quietly, those who we appreciate so deeply. Debby Metheney who cleans every week, manages ours bulletin board and teaches our tiny ones. Kasey Houser who plays the piano and does our music programs. Along with so many others who step up to cover when we have a need, when a Sunday School class needs covered, when the building needs repair, when some extra prayers are needed, or a hug is in order.

“We celebrate the people God uses publicly.
But heaven also remembers those who served quietly.

The kingdom of God isn’t built by those who seek recognition, but by those who faithfully strengthen others.
