NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER: PLEASE SHARE
The Pleasants Christian Outreach Center and the Pleasants County Ministerial Association are sponsoring the local service for the National Day of Prayer on May 5, 2022, at 7 PM at the First Baptist Church 420 Barkwill Street St. Marys,
This nationwide service occurs on the first Thursday in May each year. On May 5, 1988, President Reagan made the National Day of Prayer the first Thursday in May, saying: “Americans in every generation have turned to their Maker in prayer...We have acknowledged...our dependence on Almighty God.”
People in thousands of communities gather to pray about all the issues we are facing and seek spiritual guidance for the solutions.
This year's theme is from Colossians 2:6-7 Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. NASB
Everyone is invited to attend. The National service is scheduled for 8 PM EST and may be viewed at www.nationaldayofprayer.org/2022broadcast.
The mission of the National Day of Prayer Task Force is to mobilize prayer in America and to encourage personal repentance and righteousness in the culture.
