St Marys WV UMC Our mission for ministry comes from the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:31-46. We seek to see Jesus in everyone we meet. We have a heart to love and serve others!

We invite you to worship with us at 10:45 AM on Sunday mornings September - May in the upstairs Sanctuary. June-August we worship at 9:30 AM in our downstairs Chapel. Little Miss Anastasia represented the church at the Northern District’s District Day with the Bishop. She was well received, very professional, and made some wonderful connections within the conference including Bishop Deborah Wallace-Padgett.

We heard about wonderful things going on all around the conference including growing churches, innovative ministries, and exceptional service!

After getting past a few technical difficulties our first EKKLESIA gathering was a great time! We shared in worship, prayer, communion, and began to learn about the Bible and how we as Christians should understand it in relation to our faith.
We’ll be back next Tuesday at 7PM to examine the history of Bible translation, or how we got the bound collection we have today.

A wonderful morning of worship and fellowship as we moved back into the Sanctuary. The organ was magnificent 🎶 🎼 The choir lifted a joyful noise 🎵🎹 children enjoyed games 🪀🚂 and we met Christ’s presence in holy communion 🍞🍷

Here’s some helpful information as you prepare for worship, Sept 6, 2026. Our Scripture Lesson is from Romans 13:8-14. Our hymn is “ Gather Us In”. Our Chancel Choir is singing “Beyond the Cross.” Worship will be posted on Sunday morning at 10:30am. We hope you will join us.

The chapel has been made ready for our first EKKLESIA gathering this Tuesday at 7pm!!! For this initial time together our teaching will focus on answering the questions What is theology? And What is the Bible? 📕 📖 we will also share in some wonderful worship time and prayer 🙏 🎶 as well as joining in the sacrament of Holy Communion 🥖 🍷

Our new Tuesday gathering, beginning Sept. 8th, is for you!

Join us at St Marys UMC every Tuesday at 7PM in the chapel for an intimate worship experience. Praise music and prayer, deep theological teaching, discussion led by Pastor Tyler Hylton, and sharing in the sacrament of Holy Communion.

We begin with a series of theological discussions entitled, “The Living God.”

Our fall hours are in full effect as of 8/31/2026. That means this Sunday worship will begin at 10:45AM on the sanctuary! Additionally Sunday school will start at 9:30AM and the office will be open Mon-Fri from 10:00AM-1:00PM. Pastor Tyler is also available by appointment outside of these hours. We hope to see you this fall!!! 🍂🍁🍂
