Today we celebrate St. Augustine, one of the Church's greatest saints and theologians. After years of searching for meaning, he discovered the truth and peace found only in God.

May St. Augustine inspire us to seek Christ more deeply each day and trust in God's mercy and grace.

Tomorrow we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. As we honor Mary's entrance into heavenly glory, may her faithful "yes" inspire us to trust God's plan in our own lives. Through her intercession, may we grow in faith, hope, and love as we follow her Son, Jesus Christ.

This special evening is an opportunity to thank our priests for their dedication, leadership, and faithful service. We are grateful for all they do to strengthen our Catholic communities and are looking forward to a wonderful night of fellowship and baseball.

As July comes to a close, it's hard not to notice how quickly a Minnesota summer seems to pass. The days are still warm, the lakes are still calling, and there are plenty of sunsets left to enjoy. Yet there's also that subtle reminder that another season is waiting just around the corner.

God's creation has a way of teaching us through the changing seasons. Summer invites us to slow down, gather with family and friends, and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us. Fall will soon bring its own gifts, reminding us that every season has a purpose and every chapter of life offers new opportunities to grow.

Before we rush ahead, let's take time to appreciate these summer days, the laughter shared, the memories being made, and the many blessings that often go unnoticed in the busyness of life. May we finish July with grateful hearts, trusting that God is at work in every season, and step into August refreshed, hopeful, and ready for whatever comes next.

National Family Planning Awareness Week

This week, we celebrate the gift of Natural Family Planning (NFP) and its role in strengthening Catholic marriages and families.

The Saints Anne & Joachim Fund at the Catholic Foundation was created to train teachers of excellence in the highly effective, scientific, and simple method of Natural Family Planning. Through this fund, couples in the Diocese of Saint Cloud have access to faithful, life-giving education and support.

There is something special about summertime in Minnesota—the warmth of the sun, the beauty of our lakes and fields, and the extra moments spent with family and friends.

As we enjoy these long summer days, may we also take time to recognize God's presence in the beauty of His creation. Every sunrise, gentle breeze, and peaceful evening reminds us of the many blessings He provides.

Today, let us thank God for the gift of this season and ask Him to help us slow down, appreciate His goodness, and share His love with those around us.
