She began her ministry training at a young age while serving in various ministries capacities. Minister Tequilla began praise dancing 1998. She quickly discovered that she had a passion for worshipping the Lord through dance. She started the dance team “One Vision” in 2000, and later accepted her calling to minister the gospel in 2001. With time, tests, and trials, One Vision evolved into “One Vis
ion Ministries” serving as a ministry of healing, deliverance and inspiration, through the form of dance and creative expression, as well as teaching, mentorship and community outreach. Minister Tequilla holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services, Master of Arts Degree in Human Behavior, and a Master of Science in Early Childhood Studies: Teaching and Diversity in Early Childhood Education. She is the hardworking single mother of a beautiful 14-year-old daughter, and volunteers her time helping other single mothers as a board member of Single Mothers Student Success, a non-profit organization based in San Diego, CA. Minister Tequilla has allowed God to use her gift to minister to His people through conferences, parties, weddings, concerts, community and special events. She has overseen children, teen and adult dance team ministries, as well as consulted for individual dancers and small groups. Before relocating back to Northern California in 2013, she served as the Director of Creative Worship & Arts at Liberty Temple Worship Center in La Mesa, CA. In 2014, she was nominated and won the award for “Liturgical Dance Solo Act of the Year” at the 2014 San Diego Prestige Awards. She currently serves under the leadership of Pastor Michael Peavy at Purpose Church in Sacramento, CA. While her testimony is one of courage, faith, and obedience, Minister Tequilla remains humble and continues to give God glory in all that she does. Though she is looked upon as a strong and courageous woman of God, it is her heart’s desire to live according to God’s will, fulfill God’s purpose in her life, and to encourage others to do the same.
