August 19, 2025 Dr. Francisco Delgado presents The Human-Microbe Relationship, where he discusses the critical role that the right types, amounts and timing of bacteria in the human body play in God’s design for human health and flourishing.

September 16, 2025 Dr. John Bloom presents The Archaeological Evidence for Fulfilled Biblical Prophecy, where he presents archaeological findings which supports the fulfillment of biblical prophecy and the reliability of the Bible.

We meet the 3rd Tuesday evening of the month at Christ Community Church, 5025 Manzanita Avenue, Carmichael, CA in room M1 (second floor classroom in the classroom and administration building adjacent to the back parking lot) at 7 PM Pacific time.

It seems like every month, the news reports another case of finding evidence of life on another planet. The latest was about a potential "biosignature" found on K2-18B. https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/17/science/k218b-potential-biosignature-webb... Read my comment below for what Astronomer Hugh Ross said about this claim.

Astronomers have made a detection suggesting biosignatures, or signs of biological activity, on an exoplanet located 124 light-years away. But experts are skeptical.

Have you ever wondered why people believe something, especially when it seems nonsensical to you? Why do people resist what we think are well thought out arguments or meet our ideas with a blank stare? We may assume that people’s beliefs are based on facts, logic and experience. But is that true? Please join us, as Dr. Steven Willing helps us to understand how people really think and why they believe what they believe.

Steven Willing, MD, is board certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology, with an MD from the Medical College of Georgia and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has held faculty positions at the University of Louisville, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Indiana University where he taught and practiced diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology. During his 20 years in academic medicine, Steve published over 50 papers in the areas of radiology, informatics, and management, and authored the "Atlas of Neuroradiology", published by W. B. Saunders in 1995.

Since retiring in 2016, Dr. Willing serves as a radiology consultant to Tenwek Hospital, a large Christian Hospital, in Bomet, Kenya. He is also an op-ed contributor to the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, and actively blogs on his site: The Soggy Spaniel. Additionally, he serves as the Alabama State Director for the American Academy for Medical Ethics, as an adjunct Professor of Divinity at Regent University, and as a Visiting Scholar for Reasons to Believe. Steve authored Superbia: The Perils of Pride. The Power of Humility, which was published in September 2022.

To anyone joining us this evening for "Genesis Among the Pagans" with Ken Keathley, please make a note that we will be in a different room than usual. Christ Community Church moved where we are meeting because Room M1, which we usually meet in, has a broken AC. Join us instead in the building closest to Manzanita, Sanctuary South. Walk up towards the South side and you will see a pathway to a wood door labeled Sanctuary South. Hope to see you there!
