June is finally here! For many of us that means settling into summer rhythms; vacations, family gatherings, ball games, longer evenings, and changing schedules. Summer can be a season of refreshment, but it can also become a season where our spiritual routines quietly drift.

This month, I want to encourage us not to put our faith on “summer break.” Instead, let’s make this be a season where we intentionally make space for God in new ways. Maybe that means spending time in prayer on the porch in the morning, reading Scripture outside on a quiet evening, enjoying lunch with a neighbor, or simply slowing down long enough to recognize God’s presence around us.

Jesus reminds us in John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” In all seasons, we stay rooted by staying connected to Him.

God continues to work in every season, including summer. May June be a month of renewal, joy, rest, and continued growth in Christ.

Tomorrow we celebrate Pentecost, the day the Holy Spirit came upon the early church and filled ordinary people with courage, hope, and new life.

Pentecost reminds us that God is still moving, still speaking, and still drawing people together across every barrier.
