Belle Center UPC Welcome to the BelleCenter United Presbyterian Church page! "Everything is possible for him who believes" (Mark 9:23)

We are a body of believers who are learning to fully rely on God. The Presbyterian Church in Belle Center was formed in 1852, meeting in homes, barns and the school house. A church was constructed in 1854, this structure burned to the ground in 1895. The current building was constructed some time after that. It was during that time period when the congregation met in the Reform Church building. We met in the morning and they met in the afternoon.

Life can feel heavy.
Fear is real. Grief is real. Uncertainty is real.

But so is the presence of Jesus.

β€œLet not your heart be troubled.”

Isaiah 41:13 β€” What This Verse Is About

β€œFor I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand…”

Isaiah 41:13 is a verse of comfort and reassurance. God is speaking to His people as someone who is near, personal, and protective.
The image of holding the right hand is very tender. It is like a parent holding the hand of a child, guiding them through a place that feels uncertain or frightening. God is not only watching from far away. He is close enough to hold, guide, and steady His people.
The fuller verse says:

β€œFor I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”
β€” Isaiah 41:13, KJV

So the heart of the verse is this:

Do not be afraid, because God is near and He will help you.
It is about trust when life feels unstable. It reminds us that we do not have to walk through fear alone. God’s help may not always remove every difficulty immediately, but His presence gives strength, courage, and peace while we pass through it.

Simple Reflection

There are moments when we feel weak, unsure, or afraid of what comes next. Isaiah 41:13 reminds us that God does not shame us for being afraid. Instead, He reaches for us.
He holds our hand.

This verse is not loud or dramatic. It is gentle. It tells us that the Lord is close, steady, and faithful. When we cannot see the whole road ahead, we can still trust the One who is holding us.
