🔷🔷🔷MONDAY MEMBER MOMENT🔷🔷🔷 Gail Brinson joined Assistance League of Chaves County ten years ago, after returning to her childhood home of New Mexico, following several decades of living in the eastern part of the United States. A teacher for thirty-five years, she has always been a volunteer, serving as a 4-H leader and with the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, community kitchens, adult literacy groups, and interim homeless programs. Gail first learned of the Assistance League from family members who were members of the Assistance League of Indianapolis, and was excited to learn Chaves County has been fortunate enough to have a chapter of wonderful and dedicated volunteers since 1957!
Immediately after joining Assistance League of Chaves County, Gail became recording secretary for the chapter and served on the Operation School Bell® and Adopt a Nursing Home committees, two programs serving totally different age groups and very special to her. Currently, Gail volunteers on the Backpacks for Homeless committee, the Thrift Shop committee, and the Bylaws committee, while serving as chapter treasurer and recording secretary.
If asked about Assistance League of Chaves County, she would tell you the dedicated volunteers are what make it special, and what makes it successful in serving the children, individuals, and families of our community.
When not volunteering Gail enjoys reading (and her discussion group!), photography, baking, and being with family.
