☀️ Today, our TK through 8th grade students welcomed their families to campus for our annual family picnic. The weather was beautiful for lunch and games in the Gully! 🔬🍬 Science Is Extra Sweet in 5th Grade! 🍬🔬

Today, our 5th graders took science to the next level with a hands-on Candy Compounds Lab!

Students used the Periodic Table to identify elements, read chemical formulas to determine the number of atoms, and used ChemSpider to research the structure of different compounds. Then, they brought their learning to life by using gumdrops and toothpicks to create 3D models of the compounds! 🧪⚛️
