Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrec

tion, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are delighted to share that Manny was ordained to the priesthood this weekend!

It was a beautiful service honoring his calling and we are excited to see how God continues to work through him.

Brad’s mentor, Trevor Hudson says that most of us have a “friendship shaped hole in our life.”

It's backed by the data:
40% of Americans say they “sometimes or always feel their social relationships are not meaningful”
20% say they are “lonely or socially isolated”
10% of adults say they do not have one friend

We hope you’ll join us for this conversation.

We’ll have childcare, you can RSVP here: https://rosevillehorizon.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3456867

There are many levels of friendship.

Aristotle wrote that “perfect friendships” are those between people who have a mutual love for something that not only brings them together, but elevates their behavior to virtue.

Where and how can we experience this type of friendship?

We’ll be hosting, Dialogue: Connecting Ideas and People, a quarterly public gathering to explore important topics that don't fit church structures. Our first one will be on Friday, March 13th at 6:30 PM. The night will include lecture, group discussion, and Q&A all based around the importance of true friendship.

It’s important to remember that Jesus was both/and…

carpenter’s son AND Messiah
ordinary AND miraculous
human AND God
wise teacher AND all-knowing

Like Taylor said, it’s easy to remember that he was ordinary, but easy to forget how miraculous his presence and existence was to the BC crowd.

We call this the ✨️Cycle of Grace✨️

We can observe all of these truths that Jesus lived by, but the real question is

How do we learn to live in the cycle of grace OURSELVES?

1. Who does God say you are? We have to consider how we could embrace our acceptance by God without performance. We can turn to some familiar scriptures (Ephesians 2:4, Psalm 119, Psalm 17:8) that remind us that God must have really wanted you to exist and that he must love you a whole lot.

2. How does God sustain me? You want to pick a practice that can help you recognize the ways that God sustains you daily. Think about the Prayer of Examen or keeping a "joy list".

3. What is my unrepeatable uniqueness? There is only one YOU who has ever existed or who ever will exist. You are a unique combination of skills, personality, and strengths that no one else will be able to holistically embody. Identify how God has made you a gift to the world.

4. How do I bear fruit like Jesus? In discovering that we are loved by God, noticing how he sustains us, and recognizing our uniqueness that we begin to see how we bear fruit in the world. (John 15:9)
