Tarbiya Institute

Tarbiya Institute An educational non-profit aiming to empower generations of American Muslims through Islamic knowledge

is a linguistic derivative of the word Rabb, or Lord, and it denotes a comprehensive process of personal progress, whereby an individual grows spiritually, intellectually and socially to achieve a godly life. In the context of Islamic work, it’s about helping individuals acquire the needed skills and knowledge base through a structured educational process to achieve harmony between their

divine obligations and worldly responsibilities. For that, programs are devised, including mentor-ship, regular halaqas, ongoing activities, volunteer opportunities, leadership training, classes, camps and much more. This is the purpose of the Tarbiya Institute as we envision it. At Tarbiya Institute, we strive to cater to the needs of the family by paying attention to the needs of its building blocks.

Happy Jumaa!

If the stories of Ibrahim, Hajar, and Ismail AS taught us that some journeys are worth taking even if we must walk them alone, then how should we internalize the lesson of sacrifice? In a world that seeks to extinguish our values and principles, how do we continue walking toward Allah SWT without needing validation from the crowds around us? Join us this Jumaa to learn more.

The Kind of Courage and Heroism America Needs Today

Three men stood between violence and innocent children.

Amin Abdullah.
Mansour Kaziha.
Nader Awad.

Because of their courage, children walked out alive.

In moments like these, grief and pride exist together. Pride that there are still people willing to protect what is sacred, beautiful, and just, even at the cost of themselves.

Happy Jumaa!

In the aftermath of tragedy, many hearts are carrying grief. But where do we draw the line between the natural pain felt when Houses of Worship are turned into battlegrounds, and letting that pain consume every part of who we are? How do we reflect on moments of darkness without letting them prevent us from moving forward with conviction? Join us this Jumaa to learn more.

The Prophet SAW said: “The most beloved people to Allah SWT are those who are most beneficial to people.” This hadith reminds us that serving others is not only an act of kindness but a path to earn Allah SWT’s love. With this beautiful teaching in mind, join us on Saturday, May 23rd at 10 am at Tarbiya House Roseville as we come together to prepare and distribute halal, nutritious meals. By giving a little of your time or resources you not only give comfort to those in need but you earn a reward that lasts beyond this life. Every hand that serves and every dollar given becomes a means of mercy that draws closeness to Allah SWT.
