Bailey Memorial United Methodist Church United Methodist congregation in North Central, WV Open Hearts, Open Doors, Open Minds In 1838 the site was found and purchased by the Bailey Family from Mr.

Bailey Memorial United Methodist Church has been rooted in the community for over 175 years. Church records reflect the inception as an appointment of the Webster Circuit in 1837. and Mrs. George L and Mollie Francis Shields. By 1840 a log meeting house was built. While it served the congregation for 20 years it was replaced by a frame building which stood for 40 years. In 1903 the current churc

h building was completed. A basement was added in 1950 and a subsequent kitchen. The pavilion dedicated to Patricia Savage Devart was completed in 2004 .
