As we began our study of the book of Titus we understood that Titus was initially written as a letter with instructions for how to establish a Gospel-centered Church. Titus 1 focused on the importance of churches being led by elders who lead the Church to be centered upon and anchored to the Truth of Jesus.

This week as we turn to Titus 2 we see the "teeth" of the Truth of Jesus.

The foundational Truth of Jesus that He is the Son of God and our only Redeemer from sin.

And how we should live and help others live their lives centered upon this truth and firm foundation.

Join your church family this weekend for a study that will help you not only say that Jesus is Lord but show through your surrender to God's Word that Jesus is your Lord.

This morning we were reminded as we kicked off our study of Titus that the people that we allow influence in our lives are the people who are forming us the most. So the question is… are those people forming us into the image of Jesus?

After spending much of the month of May in the Old Testament as we turn the calendar to June we will fast forward about 1,100 years in Biblical history to the New Testament letter of Titus.

In this letter and throughout our new series, Titus: Know the Truth, we will be reminded of and challenged to live by the Truth of Jesus Christ.

Sunday, as we turn to Titus one we are introduced to the times of Titus... times that I believe are not unlike our times. Times that are hostile to the truth of Jesus Christ.

So the question that we will seek to answer is how do we live in a world that is setting so many stumbling blocks on our way to saving belief in the truth of Jesus Christ?

Praise the Lord is all that we can say for His faithfulness to this ministry and thank you for your participation. Together we are spreading the love and joy of Jesus with our community.
