Please join us in prayer for communities across the Four Corners region of the Southwest U.S.

Since Oct. 21, severe flash flooding has damaged homes and roads and displaced families across the region, with several areas under evacuation notices and without power. With flood warnings and advisories remaining active today, we pray especially for the first responders assisting evacuees and those needing rescue.

UMCOR has reached out to regional conference United Methodist disaster response leaders to offer assistance as needed.

Next Saturday, congregations around the world will remember an event that happened 509 years ago. On that date Martin Luther tacked a sheet of "theses" on the castle church door at Wittenberg hoping to spark a discussion. Instead, he spawned a revolution, a reformation that fundamentally transformed the religious and cultural landscape from that point forward. From that point on salvation was not something one earned through good works but received through faith in Christ's sacrifice on the cross.

This Sunday is Reformation Sunday, a day that sparked the beginning of the Protestant Church.

After worship our Adult Sunday School class will continue our study of the book, "Five Marks of a Methodist". This week we will talk about A Methodist Rejoices in God.

Our church is located at 2620 Old Philadelphia Pike in Bird-in-Hand. It is a brick building with a tall steeple just west of the train trestle. The worship service begins at 9:00 am.

Buses and family reunions are welcome to our worship service. The doors of the church are open to everyone; especially you.

By The Way: Mark your calendar. Our Crafters Bazaar will be November 14th.

It was a pleasure to welcome Joy Eva Bohol from UMCOR - United Methodist Committee On Relief to Faros School.

We shared more about what we do at Faros, how we support our students through education, and the initiatives we’ve been able to carry out thanks to UMCOR. It was also a chance to exchange experiences, share ideas, and learn from each other.

At Faros School, we aim to create a safe and welcoming space where our students can learn, develop new skills, explore their interests, and feel a sense of belonging here in Greece.

We’re grateful to UMCOR for their support and the opportunity to share our work at Faros 🤝
