Due to another large community event being held in Rome on our originally scheduled date, we have made the decision to move the 2026 Jeff Smith Memorial Car Show to Saturday, October 10, 2026.
We believe this change will give our show the best opportunity to continue growing while allowing our community to enjoy both events without having to choose between them.

Loved the sunbeams poking out of the clouds this morning!

It is with heavy hearts, but with thankful hearts for the life she lived, that we share the passing of our dear sister, Shirley Coheley.

Shirley was more than a member of our church family—she was our sister, our friend, and someone who loved her church dearly. Her presence among us will be greatly missed, and our hearts are hurting alongside her family and loved ones.

Please keep Shirley’s family in your prayers, but also remember to pray for her church family who loved her so dearly. There will certainly be an empty place in our pews and in our hearts.

Shirley ran her race here on this earth. And while her homegoing wasn’t the way we would have chosen for it to happen, we can rejoice in knowing that she won the battle. The sickness and suffering are over. She has received that brand-new body, and she is now home with the Savior she loved and the Lord she longed to know more about.

One of Shirley’s favorite hymns, found on page 6 of the red-back hymnal, says, “I Wanna Know More.”

Well, Shirley, you know more now. ❤️

We can only imagine the joy of that homecoming and the things she is seeing today that she could only sing about while here.

“We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:8

Our hearts are broken because we’ll miss her, but our hearts can also rejoice because we know where she is. She is home. She is healed. She is with Jesus.
Until we see you again, Shirley. We’ll keep running our race down here.

We love you, and you will be missed more than words can say. ❤️🙏
