Last week we asked our congregation: What have you found at Word of Peace?

The answers were beautiful.
✨ Unity
✨ Hope
✨ Love
✨ Friendship
✨ Peace
✨ Belonging
✨ Beautiful music
✨ A place to grow in faith
✨ A community that feels like home

Everyone’s story is a little different, but together they tell the same story: there’s something special about finding your people and finding a place where you can be fully yourself ❤️

Maybe what you’re looking for is here, too ❤️

So much around us changes. Seasons shift. Circumstances come and go. We grow, we learn, and our lives take unexpected turns.

But Jesus remains.

The same love.
The same grace.
The same faithfulness.
Yesterday. Today. Forever.

Whatever season you’re walking through, you can hold onto the promise that you are never walking it alone. ✝️

From first steps of faith to new beginnings, we celebrate every milestone along the way ❤️

Baptisms, backpack blessings, graduations, Confirmation, and so many moments in between 🤍

We’re grateful to walk alongside our children and youth as they grow, learn, and discover God’s love 🙏🏼

These are the moments that matter. This is Word of Peace ⛪️

Sometimes I carry your song, and sometimes you carry mine ❤️

Sometimes all we can manage is silence. Sometimes the prayer doesn’t come, the answers don’t come, and we don’t have the strength to pretend everything is okay ❤️

And we don’t have to prove anything ❤️

God’s people, keep singing. Keep carrying one another. Keep telling the truth. Because we know that in Christ, even when we cannot see it yet, all will be okay ❤️

So many full hearts after an incredible week of JAM Camp! 🎶

Jesus And Music (JAM) Camp brought together nearly 40 kids for a week filled with singing, movement, creativity, laughter, friendship & faith 🎵

Our Music Room became a place where kids could discover that music is more than notes and rhythms, it’s a way to connect with one another, express joy, worship God, and share the gifts we’ve been given 🙏🏼

We are so grateful for our wonderful leaders, and volunteers who helped make all the schedules, snacks, crafts and countless behind-the-scenes details come together ❤️

Most of all, we’re grateful for the joy these kids brought with them each day. Watching 35 young people make music, make friends, and make memories together is something we’ll carry with us long after camp is over ⭐️

What a beautiful week of making a joyful noise together! 🎵

And the kids are SO excited to share their music with the congregation on Peace Fest Sunday, September 13! We can’t wait to hear them fill the church with the joy they’ve been making all week! 💛🎶

Mary’s song is dangerous, not because it is loud, but because it is one we sing together ❤️

Her words remind us that God lifts up the lowly, fills the hungry, and turns the world upside down ❤️

When we sing it together, we are invited to help make that vision a reality ❤️

Sometimes mercy looks like choosing grace when it would be easier to judge. It looks like meeting others with compassion, forgiveness, and the same love God so freely gives to us ❤️

May we carry God’s mercy with us today, in the way we speak, the way we listen, and the way we love ✨

Hannah’s song reminds us that God is still at work, even when change feels far away.

Her story points to a God who lifts up the forgotten, brings down the powerful, and is always moving the world toward something new.

Change is coming. God is still at work. 💛
