Last Wednesday our Simeon and Anna Team helped facilitate an art project headed up by our member Mickey Craig at his assisted living. God be praised for such a successful event!

Cindy applied for a Thrivent grant to purchase art supplies for Mickey to teach his fellow residents and help them paint their own pieces.

Mickey sketched out several scenes like horses, flowers etc in great detail to guide everyone and make it easier for them to complete it.

I counted 17 total people painting and 2 observers that probably wanted to get in on it but there wasn’t a lot of room left.

For 2 hours everyone worked diligently and at times you could hear a pin drop they were SO into it. They all were so thankful and so happy when they left with their finished product!

Also, Ron Menough and Mickey’s wife Kathy & granddaughter Marlo were there helping to set up & clean up.

Lastly, the pop & the snacks rounded out the experience very nicely. Again, it was a fabulous day! Hope we can do it again down the road!
