STAY IN GRATITUDE

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

This verse, given by the Spirit through the apostle Paul, is one of the simplest yet most profound instructions in the Word of God. He says, "In everything give thanks." This means, no matter what happens, stay in gratitude; maintain a grateful heart. Thanksgiving is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus. If you've ever said, "Lord, I want to do your will," here’s a straightforward way to do just that: give thanks in everything.

It sounds simple, but how well have you practised it? Thanksgiving is how you position yourself to see the manifestation of God’s power at work in your behalf. Depression, frustration, and confusion have no place in the life of one who consistently gives thanks. When you understand the principle of thanksgiving, you'll never allow circumstances to dictate your joy.

Nothing can frustrate you when you’re always full of gratitude to the Lord. If you lose money, give thanks. If you lose your job, give thanks. If your car is stolen, give thanks. Before taking any step, give thanks. Why? Because this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus! Even if a contract you were awarded suddenly got revoked, give thanks because your source is not the contract or any human system. Your source is the Lord. When one door closes, it only means a bigger one is about to open.

Thanksgiving keeps your focus on God's sovereignty and provision, not on the challenges before you. So even if your business partners or associates tell you they can no longer fulfil their part of an agreement, respond with gratitude, knowing God has something greater in store for you.

Everyone who blesses you is in turn blessed by God. This means that when someone gives to you or does good for you, they position themselves for a blessing from God. Therefore, remain in thanksgiving and trust God to keep you in a state of perpetual abundance. No matter what you face, stay in gratitude, knowing that God's will for you is perfect and leads to glorious outcomes. Ephesians 5:20 says, “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, in every circumstance, I choose to give thanks, knowing that your plans for me are always for good. I refuse to allow frustration, confusion, or depression to have any place in my life. My heart is continually filled with gratitude, and I walk in the manifestation of your blessings every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE POWER IS IN HIS NAME

"...In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:17-18).

"When it comes to using the Name of Jesus, the power has nothing to do with your own ability, strength, or how loud you shout! The demons have no choice; when you cast them out in the Name of Jesus, they know they've got to go. Ponder again some of the things listed in our opening scripture that the Lord said we can do in His Name: Cast out devils, take up serpents, unharmed by deadly poison, lay hands on the sick for them to recover.

This is absolutely transcendent. It lets you know the power in the Name of Jesus. His Name is an instrument of terror against devils, sickness, disease, and infirmities. Peter understood this; that's why in Acts 3, when he and John encountered a man who had been lame from birth, he used the Name of Jesus to effect a cure in the man's impotent feet. When the man reached out for alms, Peter said, "...Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk" (Acts 3:6).

The miracle drew a crowd, and Peter took the opportunity to preach Jesus Christ, explaining that it was the Name of Jesus that made the man whole. What this man couldn't do for years, he did in a moment because of the power in the Name of Jesus. Even now, I say to you in the Name of Jesus, you're loosed from any infirmity that might have held you bound.

What you haven't been able to do for years, you can do now in the Name of Jesus! Perhaps you have a child who has been unable to walk since birth, or maybe you've been held down by sickness or cancer; that child is healed now! And you're free of that sickness in the Name of Jesus. Believe and activate these words in your situation, and they shall be so. Amen.

There's power in that name. That Name is the greatest Name in heaven, in hell, and in the universe! When you call that Name, all of heaven responds, Satan, hell, and all demons tremble and bow to its authority. Call on that name today with the understanding of its significance and power, and you'll surely have a miracle."

PRAYER
"Dear Father. Thank you for the power and authority in the Name of Jesus. In His Name, I walk in victory over sickness, lack, and any form of oppression. I live in triumph, now and always, because I recognize the greatness of that name and use it with revelation. Amen."

HE DELIGHTS IN FULFILLING YOUR DESIRES

"...Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you...ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full"(John 16:23-24).

"Observe what the Lord Jesus said in our opening scripture; He clarifies that we can ask the Father anything in His Name, and it will be granted.

When you walk in love, your desires naturally align with His; therefore, you won't ask for anything outside His will. He thus encourages us to ask and receive so that our joy may be full. What a blessed invitation! It shows the Father's desire to bless us. Unlike earthly parents or others who may become weary of too many requests, God never grows weary of our many requests. He delights in answering us and fulfilling our desires.

Therefore, when you ask, believe that you receive. Jesus did not say to ask and wait indefinitely; He said to ask and receive. This means from the moment you ask, start rejoicing and acting as though you already received because, in the spirit, it's done.

We often deal with disappointments from people who don't keep their promises, but God is not like that. He is faithful, and He keeps His Word. Humans may fail, forget, or disappoint, but God never fails. 1 Peter 3:12 says, "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers...." Hallelujah!

In Hebrews 13:5 (AMPC), the Bible says, "...for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]." Ponder those words for a moment and be overwhelmed by the Father's love and desire for you to live in fullness of joy, peace, confidence, dominion and victory every day. He delights in you and in fulfilling your desires."

PRAYER
"Dear Father, I thank you for our privilege and authority in prayer, and my joy is made full. I refuse to doubt or waver because your Word is ever dependable, ever-sure and ever-trustworthy. Thank you for always hearing me and granting my petitions, for indeed, your Word is yes and amen, in Jesus' Name. Amen".

OUR POWER OF ATTORNEY TO USE THE NAME

"And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all(Acts 3:16)

When we pray today, we don't pray to Jesus in the Name of Jesus as that would be incorrect because it suggests using His power of attorney towards Himself, which makes no sense. The power of attorney Jesus gave us is to act in His stead, to use His Name as though He were the one speaking or making a request.

Imagine you have given your lawyer the power of attorney to act on your behalf. This authority isn't used to address you, but to interact with others on your behalf. Similarly, Jesus has given us His Name to represent Him. So, when we say, "In the Name of Jesus,"it carries the same weight as if Jesus Himself were speaking. This is one of the greatest honours we have as Christians.

During our Healing Streams Live Healing Services, when I declare, "I bring you healing in the Name of Jesus, it's not a simple statement; it's a declaration of His authority and power. It doesn't matter where the people are in this world or the situation they're facing; when we use the Name of Jesus, every hindrance is removed, and the power of God is released. His Name is an instrument. Hallelujah!

If you've been diagnosed with cancer, for example, you can kill that cancer using the Name of Jesus. Place your hand over that area and say, "In the Name of Jesus, I command the cancer to die and pass out of my body." If you do it the first time and nothing seems to happen, don't despair; refuse to be moved. Remember, "They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy" (Jonah 2:8). You can declare repeatedly that it's dead until it dematerializes.

If you've been feeling intense pressure in your head, tell it to loosen up in Jesus' Name! Perhaps you're usually attacked by fear, to the point you don't like being alone in the house at night; it's time to put an end to it. Even now, address that spirit of fear, say, "In the Name of Jesus, fear, I rebuke you; get out." Then start declaring, "I refuse to fear; I'm bold in the Name of Jesus!"

Maybe you've been job-hunting for a long time now to no avail, you can decide and say, *"Today, I'm going out to have the best job I've ever had in my life, in the Name of Jesus" and you'll get it. Hallelujah! The power of attorney given to us to use the Name of Jesus is absolute and ineffable. No circumstance, situation, or demon can gainsay, withstand, or refute that power."

PRAYER

"Dear Father, I thank you for the power and authority of the mighty Name of Jesus. I stand in the victory and dominion of that Name against circumstances and the forces of darkness. Satan's influence and manoeuvres over God's people are frustrated in the Name of Jesus, and the Church revels in the dominion and triumph of Christ, supremely blessed and favoured, in Jesus' mighty Name. Amen."

Overcome Unrealistic Expectations in Marriage.

Bible Base: Proverbs 10:28

If the Bible states that:
“The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: But the expectation of the wicked shall perish” (Proverbs 10:28), it is important that your expectations are not wicked or unrealistic.

Unrealistic expectations are one of the major problems that destroy marriage relationships.

Back in Genesis, when God saw Adam's loneliness, He gave him Eve for companionship, with the added bonuses of
sexual in*******se, and procreation (See Genesis 2:18-25).

Additionally, God blessed both of them for the responsibility of dominionship over the world.

Marriage is not a servant -master relationship, even though the Man (husband) is the lead-partner (See Genesis 1:27-28, Ephesians 5:23, I Corinthians 11:3).

God does hold the man accountable, who treats his wife treacherously, violently, or with despise, etc. (Read Malachi 2:14, Hebrews 13:4)

When a man enslaves or subjugates his wife under the guise of submission, he has given access to anger, resentment, slave mentality, bitterness, vindictiveness and other evils, to function in His marriage. And vice versa.

*In my book Demons Deactivated 1, the subject of subjugation and submission was well discussed, so I'm not going to discuss it here.

Be that as it may, marriage is one of God’s gifts to humanity.

Hence we are told that ‘the man who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from God.’ See Proverbs 18:22.

If your marriage is plagued with troubles, God is not responsible for that. And instead of blaming satan, or your partner, put the searchlight on you, and your marital crisis situation will be resolved quickly.

Important Notice:
a). All humans are ‘free moral agents’ who have the power to make choices!
Which makes you responsible for your actions, reactions, and responses - See Deuteronomy 30:15-20, Galatians 6:6-8.

b). You can choose to enjoy your marriage by following the Christ and His Church model, found in Ephesians 5: 25-29,33, or you can follow the traditional, societal, and worldly view of marriage.

c). If you are ‘born again’, you have been given everything that pertains to life and Godliness - See 2 Peter 1:3.

d).Which means, you now have the ingrained ability in your new nature, to live right in this degenerating world, and you can treat your spouse right.

e).Remember that your wife is “heirs with you of the gracious gift of life” when you treat her right, “nothing will hinder your prayers” (1 Peter 3:7)

f). Know that God who freely gave you the Kingdom will graciously also give you all things - See Romans 8:32 . It is Unrealistic to expect your partner to give you things that you'll receive only through an intimate relationship with God.

Therefore, If you went into marriage expecting your partner to give you joy, peace, prosperity, security, love, etc., you have set yourself up for marital failure.

These are things that you internalize, and then reflect them in your relationship with God and others.

God expects that the Christian develops his/her new nature in Christ, which has been created in God’s image, in true righteousness and holiness (See Ephesians 4:24)

That new nature is evident in the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (longsuffering, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, gentleness (meekness (humility) Self control (self-restraint) See Galatians 5:22-23.

Your marriage is God’s gift to you. He wants you to enjoy the companionship of your partner and to ‘do life’ together.

It is your responsibility to ask God for your needs so that your joy will be full (See John 16: 24-26, Matthew 7:7).

Refuse to allow Unrealistic expectations become the bane of your marriage
:
*Thank Father God for the grace of marriage, and for giving you a partner with whom ‘to do’ life together ❤ ️.

*Ask and receive forgiveness, for idolizing and blaming your partner for your unmet needs, instead of working out your salvation, and growing spiritually.

*Affirm that God is working in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.

*Declare that you are yielded to the inworking of the Holy Spirit, and will continually produce fruits worthy of repentance.

*Affirm that you have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light, and are no longer under the jurisdiction of satan.

*Proclaim your authority in Christ Jesus, and the ability to utilize the power given to you over all the forces of evil.

*Declare that all satanic interferences or projections, witchcraft manipulations, ingrained cultural beliefs, societal norms, ego, contrary learned behaviors, and everything else opposed to God's righteous standards in your life and marriage, are disconnected, disabled, and destroyed.

*Declare also that you stand against the forces of evils.

* Command to go at once to the feet of Jesus Christ, the evil spirits that are influencing marital strife, anger, rejections, revenge, unforgiveness, hatred, resentment, bitterness, unrealistic expectations, jealousy, blame shifting, poverty, wretchedness, divorce, frustrating circumstances, and adverse human interferences, with their relatives.

*Affirm that you are a new creature in Christ Jesus, created in the image of God in true Holiness and righteousness: Therefore, your personality and characteristics will continually reflect God, who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

*Renounce all inhibitions, resentment, negativity or unrighteousness against your in-laws (family by marriage).

* Declare that love, acceptance, and forgiveness flows from you to them and that no partiality or dissensions can work against you all.

*Thank Father God that from today, your mind is renewed to appreciate the grace of marriage, and that you and your partner are mutually submissive to God.

*Pray that God in His infinite mercy will bring reconciliation to troubled marriages.

*Ask God to help those who are seeking to be married to be connected together and their expectations granted.

*Pray for widows, widowers, and elderly singles to be protected, comforted, and provided for always, and for family members to remember to visit them also.

*Thank God for the anointing for effective and fervent prayer.

:

I pray that as God is working within us, we will become more appreciative, be more understanding, live in harmony and unity, and also model the love of Christ to our world of influences, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

THE AUTHORITY OF HIS NAME

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it(John 14:13-14)

Notice carefully that the Lord Jesus didn’t say, “Whatsoever you shall ask me in my name, that will I do.” Rather, He said, “Whatsoever ye shall ask in my name”; there’s a crucial difference here. You can't ask Jesus something in the Name of Jesus.

Often, people pray without thinking about their words. Many pray to the Lord Jesus and end the prayer with “in the Name of Jesus.”This is not correct. This is a prayer without understanding, and some pray this way without seeing results because they approach prayer with a religious mindset, not with the understanding of what Jesus taught.

When Jesus said, “Whatsoever ye shall ask in my name,”He meant that whenever you make a demand or declare something in His Name, He will make it happen. It's about exercising the authority that His Name represents. In Acts 3, we see a practical demonstration of this by Peter and John when they encountered a beggar who had been lame from birth. In verse 6, Peter said to him, “...Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”

Peter didn't pray to Jesus. He spoke to the man in the authority of the Name of Jesus. Peter then took the man by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately, the man's feet and ankle bones received strength. He jumped up, stood, and began walking, leaping, and praising God. Hallelujah! Afterwards, Peter explained and said to the people: “And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all” (Acts 3:16). Peter and John were demonstrating exactly what Jesus taught in John 14:13-14. They used the authority of Jesus' Name to perform miracles, signs, and wonders.

When you speak in His Name, Heaven responds; miracles happen. His Name carries the same power and authority of His person. So, when you use it, you invoke His presence and direct His glory to the situation you’re dealing with. We’ll learn more about this in our next study.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus to effect changes. I exercise that authority to establish your will in the earth and in the lives of men. I pray today, that people everywhere will experience the goodness of God, for indeed the whole earth is filled with your goodness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Be Watchful:

It is so easy to fall into the ongoing deception in our world, if your source of information is the mainstream media, rather than the Word of God.

It is worse for those who are simplistic, gullible, do not check facts, nor have the gift of discernment.
They fall for half truths, exaggerations and outright lies.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for everything.

As a Christian, you must develop working principles from God's Word that will undergird you in life. So that you will not fall for lies and deceptions.

It's a thin line between information and disinformation.

While information centers on giving you facts about something on someone, disinformation deliberately gives you false information in order to confuse or mislead you.

No wonder scripture says- "If it were possible even the Elect will be deceived" (See Matthew 24:24)

Although some posit that the Elect of the above scripture refers to the Israelites, here is another scripture to let you know that the Believers in Christ, are the Elect of God too,

“... he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love” Ephesians 1:4. KJV

This is not the time to hate anyone based on someone else's opinions of them.

Do not share in the iniquities of others, for you should be holy and blameless before God.

Do not fall for the lies, half-truths, exaggerations, outright lies, and disinformation ongoing in our world.
satan is the father of all liars and is also a murderer from the beginning(John 8:44)

Liars and murderers are siamese twins who are co-joined in the heart.

You will also be in error if you believe someone is a Christian because he/she speaks Christianese!

Remember that even though Christianity is "a-together-faith"; Salvation is a personal race.

You must throw off everything that will hinder your patient-run, towards the Goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ (Read Hebrews 12:1, Philippians 3:14).

Each of us will give a personal account to God of how we lived here on earth.
Therefore, 'work out your salvation with fear and trembling' (See Philippians 2: 12-13)

You are responsible to God for your decisions.

“Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.” 2 Peter 3:17 KJV

:
I pray that you will not fall for the lies of the devil and that you will stand strong in faith, be the one to discontinue evil family traditions, and be the salt and light in your world, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

WORKS OF LOVE THROUGH US

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it(John 14:12-14)

What a profound statement the Lord Jesus made in the verses above. He said, “...He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do....”He meant the works of love He continues to do by the Spirit through us because we’re the extension of His ministry. As the prophet Isaiah said, “...he shall see His seed, he shall prolong his days...” (Isaiah 53:10). He’s prolonging His days and continuing His ministry through us. This is so amazing.

Always remember that you’re not alone; Christ is at work in you. Look closely at verse 14 of the opening verse: “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” Did you notice there’s no special clause here? There’s no conditions or exceptions; He said anything. Most people have never truly understood this enough to take advantage of it. The Lord Jesus said exactly what He meant and meant exactly what He said. Anything you ask in His Name is yours. Glory be to God!

In John 16:23, He tells us more about the day of the Church: “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing....” At first glance, this may seem like a contradiction of what we read earlier in chapter 14. But if you go back to chapter 14 and read from verse 12, you’ll notice what He’s talking about. He said, “...He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

The “greater works” are possible because Jesus has ascended to the Father and sent the Holy Spirit to empower us and impact the world with His love, power, and presence. We’re not limited. He has equipped us to do the same works that He did. This isn’t just about performing miracles; it’s about revealing the love and glory of God through our lives, just as Jesus did.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of doing the works of Jesus and even greater works through the power of your Spirit in me. I declare that I am a vessel of your love, power and glory, manifesting your presence in every situation. Thank you for the confidence and boldness to ask anything in the Name of Jesus, knowing that you will do it. I rejoice and rest in the assurance of your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
