This Summer our Middles (3yr to 2nd grade) will be diving into an 8-week study titled "Water Park" ...
WEEK ONE: I NEED A VACATION
Moses was one of the great heroes of the Bible, but before he could save Israel, God sent him on a 40-year journey into the wilderness. God wants us to take our daily journeys into the wilderness by spending time alone with him, getting to know him better.
WEEK TWO: PACK LIGHTLY
You can’t take everything on vacation, and some things are best left behind. Kids will learn that following God means leaving sin behind so it will not keep them from getting closer to God.
WEEK THREE: IT’S NOT ON MAPQUEST
God wants us to trust him and follow him. He has a plan for us that he will reveal one step at a time. We know our destination is heaven, but the road we take to get there is up to God.
WEEK FOUR: ARE WE THERE YET?
We all have times when we grumble to our parents and to God. But when we consider all that, they do for us, we really need to be grateful and stop grumbling.
WEEK FIVE: NO RUNNING NO DIVING
Rules aren’t there to restrict us, but to keep us safe and from ruining the fun for others. The Ten Commandments spell out how we are to respect God and other people. If we follow them, we will show love to God and to others.
WEEK SIX: TOURIST TRAPS
The world wants to offer us all kinds of alternatives for finding happiness: money, fame, power, and false gods. We need to keep our eyes on Jesus, even in times when we think he isn’t near, so that we will not be fooled by false gods.
WEEK SEVEN: BIBLE AT THE BEACH
The Israelites had a Tabernacle they carried with them to remind them of God’s presence. Today we have the Holy Spirit, and through the Holy Spirit, we can connect with God wherever we may go.
WEEK EIGHT: SOMEDAY
When the Israelites reached the promised land, Joshua urged them to remember God and to pass on all that God did for them to their children. Just as our parents passed their faith on to us, we must pass our faith to the next generation
