If you are in the Rogers City area this Nautical Festival weekend and are not attending elsewhere, you are invited to worship with us Sunday morning at Calvary Bible Church. We meet at 9:00 a.m. for Bible study, 10:00 a.m. for fellowship & refreshments , and 10:30 a.m. to worship God together in the reading of Scripture, prayers, songs, confessions, and the preaching of His Word. This Sunday, August 16, we will be in Matthew 24:36-51 in our series through Matthew.

May our Lord Jesus Christ be praised! And may our hearts be renewed in trusting Him and in thankfulness for His many blessings upon us, our families, and our community.

This Sunday, August 9, we welcome Paul & Hannah Gardner who will be with us. Paul will be preaching the Word of God--the wonderful gospel truths & prayer of Psalm 67.

This Sunday, August 2, our missionary family in Iceland will be with us--Dale & Linnea Kellar and family--sharing an update of how Christ is working and providing in the growth of His church there and how we can be praying for them, encouraging them, and supporting them for the sake of the gospel. They will be sharing a report during the 9:00 a.m. class hour. Come out and bless them...
..and be blessed as we get to share in fellowship together at 10:00 a.m. and then worship our great God together in our 10:30 a.m. service. The sermon will be from Matthew 24:29-35 as we continue to receive our Lord's preparation for how we are to live and endure as His disciples before His coming judgment.

Following the service, all are welcome to join us for a church picnic fellowship at Lakeside Park.

Don't miss out on the encouragement of gathering with the people of God this Sunday!

(And, no, I don't think the Kellars will be dressed like this Sunday as they visit us 😀)

89 years ago today our church was formally established in Rogers City (as the Rogers City Gospel Assembly). Over 89 years God has been faithful to keep us grounded in His Word, grow us in the truth and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and use us to proclaim and extend the gospel of His kingdom in our community and beyond. To Him be the glory!

In His wisdom and care, Jesus prepared His disciples for His coming judgment upon Jerusalem and the temple in their generation, to be faithful and endure in their gospel calling--and at the same time preparing us (and all His disciples, in every generation) for His coming, final judgment upon the whole world, to be faithful and endure in our gospel calling-- to the end. This Sunday, July 26, we'll continue to see this in Matthew 24, as we look now at verses 9-28.

Join us for Bible teaching at 9:00 a.m., fellowship at 10:00 a.m., and our worship service at 10:30 a.m.

We look forward to gathering together with the saints this Sunday, July 12, to encourage one another in holding fast our confession of Christ and stirring one another up to love and good deeds as we live in light of our Lord's return.

Even as we celebrate the continued blessings and freedoms of our nation, do we weep over people's unwillingness to repent of their self-directed & self-trusting ways and come to Christ for true life and salvation? This Sunday we'll see how Jesus wept over the people of His day in Matthew 23 and declared sober prophetic words that we need to hear and take to heart today.

This weekend let's celebrate with thankful hearts the blessings God has given us in this country over 250 years...and then gather together with His church on the Lord's Day to worship Him and celebrate the gospel, renewing our hearts in His eternal kingdom (from every nation).

Not only do the judgments Jesus pronounced upon the hypocritical Pharisees teach us what to avoid and turn away from, they also instruct us by implication in what to pursue by His grace. This Sunday, June 28, we'll see this as we continue to look at the 7 woes in Matthew 23 (covering verses 23-33).

Join us for Bible study at 9:00 a.m., fellowship at 10:00 a.m., and corporate worship of our great God at 10:30 a.m.
