We are starting our new academic year and we have a little news we're pretty excited about: we're adding Greek this year!

Yes — ancient Greek (Koine, the Greek of the New Testament). If that sounds like a stretch, here's why we love it:

It makes kids better at English. So much of the big vocabulary in science, medicine, and academics comes straight from Greek roots — once a student knows the roots, hard books get a lot less intimidating. It's also quiet grammar-and-logic training (the same reason classical schools have taught Latin for centuries).

And it opens the doors we care most about — the New Testament, and the roots of Western thought: Plato, Aristotle, the beginnings of math, logic, and democracy. It even fits right into what we're already studying — ancient Greece is our history this year.

We'll start our youngest with the alphabet and a few words they'll recognize from Scripture, and build from there.

Meet the man teaching our kids STEM. 🔬

Matthew is a PhD candidate in nuclear physics studying in Belgium and this summer, he’s leading our STEM Lab campers through real robotics, 3D printing, and engineering challenges.

This is the difference between a summer camp and a Meadow View Learning camp. Our instructors aren’t just supervising activities. They’re actual scientists, sharing real expertise with kids who are hungry for it.

Ages 10–16 are learning from someone who is, right now, working at the edge of his field. That’s not something you find at a typical summer program.

This week our campers moved from frosting to tempering — learning how real chocolate work is done, from melting and molding to the final, careful design.

It’s messier than it looks and more mathematical than it seems. That’s exactly the point!

Some students happen to be family. 🍰

This cake was made entirely by hand this week — patience in every layer, care in every detail. My own kids sit in these same seats, learning the same way, which tells you everything about how much we believe in this.

Watching a child grow from curious to capable, one project at a time, is the whole reason this work matters.

Edible Art isn’t just summer camp. It’s proof of what happens when kids are given real tools and the freedom to create something beautiful.

Edible Art Summer Session sold out faster than the frosting disappeared — so by popular demand, we’re adding a second week!
