Happy Father’s Day from Mt. Pleasant!

Today, we celebrate all fathers, grandfathers, father figures, and mentors who lead with faith, love, and wisdom. During today’s service, Pastor Kamau Kenyatta reminded us through his message, “Fatherly Wisdom,” from 1 Kings 2:1 to 4.

We pray God’s continued blessings upon every father today and always. Happy Father’s Day!

This Sunday at Mt. Pleasant, Rev. Kenyatta delivered his first sermon since returning from the Annual Conference.. Reflecting on more than eight years of ministry and service with our congregation, he preached an inspiring message entitled “Time to Step Up,” based on Ephesians 4:16 and the teachings of the Apostle Paul.

Through this powerful message, we were challenged to:

• Stand Up in Unity by supporting one another and strengthening our communities through Christ.

• Stand Up in Love by showing compassion, encouraging one another, and remembering that love is the foundation of Christian unity.

• Stand Up in Service by recognizing that each person has a God given purpose and that every role is valuable in building God’s Kingdom.

We invite you to join us at Mt. Pleasant every Sunday at Noon as we worship, grow, and serve together in Christ!

This Sunday at Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church, we were blessed by a powerful message from Sis. Martha Scudder based on the Parable of the Sower in Luke 8.

We were reminded to:

• Develop deep spiritual roots through prayer and the study of God’s Word.

• Remain faithful and trust God through life’s challenges and distractions.

• Encourage, support, and pray for those, especially our youth, who may be struggling in their faith.

We thank God for a spirit-filled worship experience and pray that the message continues to strengthen and encourage us throughout the week.

Join us every Sunday at 12 PM at Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible mothers and mother figures in our lives from Mt. Pleasant! 💐

Today, we celebrated with a wonderful Mother’s Day Breakfast as we honored your love, strength, sacrifice, wisdom, and the countless ways God has allowed you to continue shaping generations.

We were also blessed to hear a powerful message from Dr. Melody Hawkins, who reminded us that before I was anything I was God's daughter. But to live freely with God we must:

• Surrender
• Forgive
• Walk in Faith

Thank you to everyone who helped make today so special!
